Like many of you I’m sure, I’m concerned first and foremost about who is truly flying this metaphorical airline in case we have a blowup at a trouble spot somewhere. God willing that won’t happen, but if it does, I think we’re going to see a whole bunch of people doing their “Al Haig” impression (like Pompeo, Pence, Barr, and probably a few other of the worst actors of this utterly wretched administration). Our military at a minimum deserves a clear message in that department.
And oh yeah, the moment in the video was utterly unconscionable (and please spare me this typical wingnut BS of “Don’t make a big deal out of it. The Secret Service was exposed when he was airlifted on Marine One." – NOBODY HAD A CHOICE FOR THAT PART!!!).
Oh, and personally, I don’t care if he lives or dies. Though, if he ended up passing on, it might generate sympathy for Mike Pence (who surely would take the top spot on the ticket) which, unfortunately, could garner support for him because he hasn’t been truly vetted as far as I’m concerned (though Wednesday will give us a little more insight into the albino bigot from Indiana). So yeah, I hope Trump lives and gets his electoral clock cleaned on November 3rd...

...and sticking with health care, I now give you the latest installment of “This Day In Doomsy History” (more or less) from 10/1/16...on that day, we noted the 40th anniversary of the passage of the utterly awful Hyde Amendment, named after a serial philanderer in the U.S. House, so a couple of days ago marked the 44th anniversary...while people are quite rightly nervous about Amy Coney Barrett being elevated to the SCOTUS by the Gropenfuhrer and #midnightmoscowmitch (and in particular what that could mean to Roe and the ACA), we shouldn’t forget about trying to do away with this also, which would be most welcome actually (Hyde “punched down” on poor women simply because he could)...tells you how hard a slog it will be not to just hang onto what we have, but to get rid of garbage like Hyde once and for all (heckuva job by the “Bernie or bust” crowd and the “BUT HER EMAILS!!!” gang, to say nothing of wretched individuals who supported Our Treasonous, Tiny-Handed Russian Operative in An Oval Office, as well as anyone who still supports a Repug for any reason whatsoever)...

Cenk, Ana, John and Michael Shure give us their take on last night’s presidential debate; no, I didn’t watch it because there’s nothing for me to decide and I didn't want to support that freak show...I share the points of view of probably all four panelists here to one degree or another...nothing against Ana, but she’s right unfortunately of this being a country of way too many bullies, but I think Michael is right that the number one objective for Biden at this point is to hold onto the voters he has (hopefully build on that) and not let anyone think that that orange, sweaty, obnoxious, treasonous barnacle of an alleged *president is a realistic option for another four years...if Our Orange Pustule says anything else about Biden’s kids, I hope the former veep says, “At least neither of my sons every went over to Asia to hunt and kill big game on the taxpayer dime” (here)...I also agree with John’s comment which I took to mean that, in any kind of a functioning democracy (which this country is supposed to be), this wouldn’t even be a contest by now - to help the Dem ticket, click here...

OK, I’m going to try and get this thing running again after some much-needed time off - and yes, to be fair, I should point out that the group behind this ad cast a metaphorical blind eye to an awful lot of Repug craziness before the Gropenfuhrer came along, but for now, the Lincoln Project continues to do good work, so that’s why I’m including their videos...
...and I think this clip takes a bit of a tone similar to a ‘50s black-and-white schlock flick a bit (something produced by William Castle for example) with the tag line of “THEY’RE COMING FOR YOU!,” but seriously, in Mango Mussolin’s America, is the warning that far off base?...
...and though I tried to remain “out of pocket,” I definitely noticed what Farron Cousins talks about here, and that is Joe Biden’s trip to Brandywine Cemetery...to visit his son, first wife and daughter, and of course, the Trumpsters attacked him (mildly NSFW/H, and boy, is Cousins ever right about this Francis Brennan loser)...
...and I’m not going to take too much of an issue with this teacher for voting for Our Treasonous Orange Pustule in ’16 – I believe she was incredibly naïve and ill-informed – but she does make a convincing case for DEFINTELY NOT making that mistake again...
...and I think Ana and John in particular are correct in this TYT segment about the U.S. not working together with the World Health Organization to come up with a COVID-19 vaccine because Our Ruling Regime of Frauds, Liars and Idiots wants to try and unleash something on this country in time for the election, with safety and any practical considerations being utterly damned of course...
