Chris Hayes tells us about yet another “big lie” from Our Treasonous Orange Pestilence, this time on Social Security (with the usual gaggle of idiots like “Cancun” Cruz chiming in)...you can always count on the ”R” party to fall in line, no matter how stoo-pid the reason (including “MAGA Mike” Johnson – I guess he took a break from monitoring his son’s viewing of p*rn to tell that tired lie about Social Security also...and speaking of “big lies,” let’s not forget this)...



...and speaking of the antics of Not Your Father’s Republican Party, Kyle Kulinski tells us that NRCC head Richard Hudson has told his party’s political lickspittles not to hold town halls any more...of course, as noted, Bri-Fi doesn’t hold them anyway because he’s a coward...and Kyle is indeed correct about keeping up the pressure on these frauds, and the Dems should respond WITH POLICY PROPOSALS THAT MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THEY REPRESENT THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY, such as utterly destroying DOGE and trying to make government right as it was prior to Elon taking up space in An Oval Office (which will probably take years at this point), legislation overturning Citizens United once and for all, codifying Roe v. Wade through legislation also, passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act (more on Lewis a bit later), reinforcing the CHIPS Act (which Bronzer Beelzebub is trying to destroy), reinstituting the CFPB, strengthening Social Security, and on and on...and I agree with Kyle about Schumer and Jeffries (speaking of frauds...and since yours truly resides in the commonwealth of PA, I wonder if Summer Lee in PA-12 could make time to hold an event in PA-01 since @RepBrianFitz is allergic to in-person meetings? ...and Sam and Emma of The Majority Report give us a summary of the not-SOTU and the somewhat spotty protests by Dems in response...and with all due respect to Dem U.S. House Rep Al Green (who was easily the most courageous of all of the Dems in attendance), the cap on taxable Social Security earnings shouldn’t be raised from about $176K, it should be eliminated altogether...and how pathetic is it that 10 alleged “Democrats” voted to censure Green in response as noted here?)...



...and David Pakman lets us know that, apparently, that shameless harpie Maria Bartiromo lost it when an auto dealer in Glen Mills, PA was interviewed and this man said Trump’s tariffs would be terrible, raising the prices of vehicles like crazy...yeah, as Pakman says, I can just see a big ass Chevy Silverado plowing down the narrow streets of Delhi, probably pulverizing people and everything else getting in the way – gosh, color me shocked that other countries don’t want to buy these monstrosities (#sarcasm)...



...and today is the 60th anniversary of the “Bloody Sunday” voting rights march to the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama; one of the leaders of the march was indeed former Dem U.S. Congressman John Lewis of Georgia – I guess this is some of the “DEI” history that Bronzer Beelzebub wants to censor...sorry, orange turd, Na-Ga-Ha-Pen (more here)...

This Karoline Leavitt person parrots more Trump nonsense here about the five bullet points thing when questioned by a reporter (though Marie Harf commendably brings some sanity to Fix and Fiends)...and yeah, King Elon is trying to trample us to make us as miserable as possible so we’ll accept all this BS, as stated by federal worker Chris Dols...”grand theft government” indeed (John I of The Damage Report is commendably strident here IMO)...



...and Farron Cousins informs us of the stock market completely crashing when Our Ochre Abomination announced those beyond-ridiculous tariffs of his, so of course the aforementioned Karoline Leavitt and Larry Kudlow blame Biden (I know Kudlow has had a problem with the snowman in the past, and I don’t know if that’s going on here or not...”many people are saying this”...hey, if that line is good enough for Mango Mussolini, then I can use it too, amirite?)...



...and Jesse Dollemore informs us of federal judges facing death threats after Cantaloupe Capone and President Elon threaten them online...and why did I know that the beyond-useless Ed Martin was involved in this somehow? And as Jesse says, there is no “we” in this discussion, Judge Jones...it is Elon and his bunch of online lunatics who are responsible for the heightened threat environment...and I wish Jesse was wrong about the whole “police state” thing, but somehow I think he may be on to something, tragically (slightly NSFW/H)...

Wednesday Stuff

(By the way, posting may get a bit sporadic over the next week or so; I'm not sure yet.)

Rachel Maddow gave us a report earlier this week on hundreds of NOAA employees getting laid off due to King Elon’s DOGE insanity (push back led by Dr. Sarah Cooley), leading to protests all over DC (not just over NOAA, though that’s bad enough, but also for eliminating the CFPB and cuts to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs)...we also learn about protests at Tesla dealerships over the weekend, as well as elsewhere in numerous places across the country...



...and I suppose attention must be paid to the “Not SOTU” last night from Our Demented Orange Toddler of a *president (ugh)...”fix prices on day one, including eggs, which Biden is responsible for, not me”...God almighty, how pathetic! And oh yeah, the “unelected bureaucrats” who keep us all safe – the ones King Elon is kicking to the curb, as noted in the prior clip...”lots of things with the Panama Canal and a couple of other canals”...anybody have an idea what planet this guy lives on? And yeah, I have a feeling “little Marco” is wondering why the hell he gave up his job in the U.S. Senate for this utter clusterf*ck of a *presidential “administration” based on that look at about 4:49...and yeah, promoting that little boy suffering from cancer who commendably wanted to be a cop while cutting funding for pediatric cancer research is par for the course with these cretins (more fact checking and context is here and here, including the “transgender mice” idiocy here...and Trumpette Alina Habba apparently said that our vets aren’t good enough for jobs here; I would speculate on the type of “job” Habba is good at, but I’d like to keep this content PG-rated, if you will)...

...and Jesse Dollemore lets us know, once again, that Couch Boy is full of sh*t; actually, he’s correct in that we should defend the right of people to speak out in a disagreeable manner, even if his boss Cantaloupe Capone puts out another nutty post on Truth Septic saying people should be arrested and kicked out of the country for just that...also, people aren’t getting arrested outside of abortion clinics for “silently praying,” you clod; they’re getting arrested for creating disturbances and interfering with women’s right to the health care they need at these clinics...and “Mr. Hillbilly Elegy” proved again how out of his depth he is (re, that comment about “20,000 troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30-40 years” as noted here, which 1) is factually not true, and 2) is yet another attempt by our ruling cabal of criminals and frauds to create division between this country and our allies)...and yeah, Trumpist lawyer Ed Martin sure is trying to curry favor with his boss at the expense of our democratically elected government, isn’t he?...

Farron Cousins informs us here that about 40% of King Elon’s DOGE cuts won’t actually save any $$ since the funds have already been paid...”just say ‘oops’ and get out,” you numbskulls...and when you’re talking about the federal budget, $4-5 billion doesn’t even count as small change...



...and apparently the Gropenfuhrer is going to give a Not-Really-State-Of-The-Union-But-Yeah-Let’s-Pretend-It-Is address tonight, and Jesse Dollemore discusses putting pressure on Dems to stand up against fascism in response...and there aren’t too many in our establishment media I would take seriously at this point, but Jamelle Bouie is one of them...not that it matters one bit I realize, but here is what I’d do; I would have said publicly in advance that King Elon I should reinstate the employees he fired as a result of his DOGE purge and I would also say to Trump that DOGE needs to go completely, and if not, no Dems will not attend, which guarantees that Dems won’t attend because there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell of our ruling cabal of treasonous demagogues actually backing down... actually, I think Ron Wyden is the only Dem handling this the right way as noted here...



...and oh look, another Repug is running and hiding from constituents, as Brian Tyler Cohen tells us, and this time it’s U.S. Senator Roger Marshall from Kansas, who decides to cut and run when asked a question about veterans’ benefits...yeah, all of those protesting at town halls are Dem ‘”crisis actors”; uh huh... just keep telling yourself that and watch what happens in the next election...and of course, since we’re talking about Repug wingnuttery, it’s almost a legal requirement to include Marjorie Trailer Park Greene (who, by the way, is also an employee of the federal government...what a moron)...and great job by MSNBC - I guess it was them - to include that clip of the fired federal employees...and yeah, the “Free Beacon” is such an objective news source...yeah – tell me when the spaceship lands, OK? ...and to point out just how crazy the “party of Lincoln” has become, David Pakman gives us some clips of Repugs refusing to admit that Russia invaded Ukraine...not just Trump SecDef Pete Hegseth, but this Mike Waltz character and of course Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma (I’m surprised Mullin didn’t take his coat off and threaten Kristen Welker, since that seems to be par for the course with him)...and I think Pakman is spot-on in saying that the wingnuts can’t say Russia started it because, if they did, then all of the Repug posturing over the war doesn’t make any sense (and it doesn’t anyway of course, but I’m talking here about spin and perception from the “R” team, not verifiable truth and reality...oh, and speaking of Hegseth, there is also this)...



...and I realize our august corporate media doesn’t care about the impact of the USAID cuts outside of our country, but fortunately the CBC from our neighbors to the north does, and they report on how Bronzer Beelzebub’s freeze has worsened suffering in the world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh, though, to be fair, funding has fallen off also from other nations as the report tells us (have to include this from a foreign source also because our domestic media won’t cover it for fear of offending Dear Orange Leader)...



...and I don’t suppose it’s possible to bring the resources together for a “Concert for Bangladesh 2” or something to try and help those profiled in the previous clip...I’m old enough to remember when we once did that, yielding the following great tune in the process.

...and David Pakman tells us that Our Ochre Abomination is the most unpopular prez in 70 years according to a Gallup and a WP/Ipsos poll...and I think Pakman is exactly right about the media “sane washing” to keep our Demented Orange Toddler from having another of his legendary hissy fits...Pakman’s analysis of independent media is spot-on also; not saying we have to go charging out and financially support every single content creator out there, but only as our means allows...



...and Leeja Miller informs us that the MAGA backlash has begun (better late than never I guess)...and when even “Running Man” Josh Hawley and Steve freaking Bannon of all people tell “MAGA Mike” Johnson that cutting Medicaid is a bridge too far, I would say that that advice should be heeded...and I know I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again with utter cowards like Bri-Fi in mind; you were ostensibly elected to do the people’s business, and the LEAST you can do is make yourself accountable to the folks you allegedly represent and FREAKING SHOW UP IN PERSON TO ANSWER QUESTIONS!!! And I also believe that boycotts are important, but as stated, they need to be targeted with precise actions in order to be effective, and Miller is 150 percent correct in that it takes continual acts of resistance, with sometimes little victories and big defeats, as the song goes (sources for her video are here...NSFW/H also)...



...and Kyle Kulinski informs us that Bronzer Beelzebub has apparently decided to kill 115K infrastructure jobs (in the CHIPS Act) to spite Biden...I honestly didn’t know that that orange sh*tgibbon offshored 200K jobs during his first term, something else those clueless election losers at the DNC failed to point out last year...kudos also to Kyle for pointing out again how #47 sold the employees at Carrier down the river (NSFW/H as well)...



...and Tennessee Brando tells us how the fine folks in the “green mountain state” told Couch Boy what they thought of him during his recent ski trip...and as I watched this about Combover Caligula picking totally extreme individuals for his cabinet, all I could think of was all the times our beyond useless corporate media would chide Presidents Obama and Biden for not reaching out to Repugs, even though Obama tapped Robert Gates for SecDef; not sure who was Republican in Biden’s cabinet (if anyone), but more importantly, I’m not hearing a freaking word from “the old gray lady” or the Bezos WaPo about #47 bringing a Dem on board in a similar role...and Brando may be right about Vance when all is said and done, which is awful, but this is indeed all part of a sinister, disgusting plan (another NSFW/H clip...basically, put on your headphones for everything except Pakman and the next video...and a typical response from The Roger Ailes BS Factory is here)...
