Saturday Stuff

K.O. is out with #35 (kind of chilling a bit the way he links drug abuse at the end to votes for you-know-who, but the evidence doesn't lie)...

…and Samantha Bee gives Repug U.S. House Rep (and NOT Senator, Sam!) Mr.-Puppy-Dog-Eyes-With-The-Shiv the treatment he deserves here (NSFW)…

…and Rachel Maddow gives us an update on Dems allegedly competing in state and congressional races, with David Nir of Daily Kos also talking about the contest to fill the GA U.S. House seat of sleazeball Tom Price (more here - the “cliff hanger” had to do with the owner of the Miami Marlins baseball team being named ambassador to France if he sold his team to Jared Kushner, who of course is Generalissimo Trump’s son-in-law – the whole thing was put on hold, apparently…nah, no “conflict of interest” here…move along)…

Update 2/20/17: And speaking of important state races...

…and it looks like both chambers of Congress have now rolled back that pesky Obama-era regulation of not letting mentally ill people buy guns, as noted here (and yes, I’m definitely being tongue-in-cheek – and the ACLU doesn't usually put its foot in it as far as I'm concerned, but they sure did this time)...

...and I thought this was a great ad by Moveon.org given everything that's going on...

…and happy 70th birthday to Dennis DeYoung of Styx (with a tune possibly apropos for "Fortress America" envisioned by the Gropenfuhrer?).

Friday Stuff

I thought this was an excellent analysis of President Big Orange Cheetoh’s typically surreal press conference yesterday; I give all of the reporters credit here including Shep Smith, who continues to stand tall, but here is MY question – what made ANY of you think any of this would be any different from how he presented himself on the campaign trail in ’15 and ’16? Did any of you SERIOUSLY think that he would pivot somehow to a sane, rational perspective, when the tiny-handed egomaniac plainly doesn’t know of such a thing?...

...and I give you yet another installment of "This Day In Doomsy History" from 2/17/15 (FBI Director James Comey gave an enlightened speech on race and law enforcement, timed a bit for Black History Month...as I watch this, I wonder if he wasn't just trolling us in the end given his despicable behavior last year timed for the presidential election, particularly timely in light of this also)...

…and K.O. is here to tells us about the effects of Generalissimo Trump’s deportation orders (“U-S-A! U-S-A!”)…

…and I would call this democracy in action (from yesterday)…

…and Thom Hartmann speaks with Eve Ensler about a new organization to end violence against women, as a spring board to other related protests (good call by Thom for saying that it isn't just Trump, and I'm not talking just against violence against women - the "party of Lincoln" dances to their corporatist masters exclusively and acts like "The Handmaid's Tale" is a documentary...might be a tad late with this, but there's no "expiration date" on the message)…

…and I have to admit that Republican lawmakers in Tennessee have come up with a novel way to respond to peaceful protestors; just run them down with your car (oh, but the Teahadists protesting against the Affordable Care law were good protesters, and they deserved to be covered 24/7/365 on CNN, but those damn tree-hugging hippies trying to make sure they don’t lose their health care, their jobs, their savings…just go commit vehicular homicide, and it’s all good - and this gives you insight into their coal black hearts also)…

…and gosh, could Fergus Laing actually be getting bored with his new job? We’ll see (“President Von Munchausen” – good one by Rick Wilson, I have to admit)…

…and nothing like a little Delbert McClinton to help put us in the mood for the holiday weekend, is there (a long one for everybody, I hope).

Thursday Stuff

I knew I would eventually have a problem trying to keep up with all of the scandals from President Fergus Laing, and that kind of bit me in a butt a bit with Andrew Puzder, who quite appropriately bailed as Labor Secretary Nominee before I could put up this video from Rachel Maddow – here it is anyway, notable if for no other reason than to point out the serf-like treatment Puzder gave to his employees (“oh, but it’s the franchise owners, not Puzder” – my ass; I worked in fast food many moons ago, people – anyone protesting for a livable wage in that bidness automatically has my respect)…

...well, regardless of what happens with the Trumpsters, I'm sure that pleases this life form...

...who I'm sure believes every word of this clip...

…and K.O. brings us some sage words on Number 45’s recklessness on national security (particularly galling given the way he acted on this during the campaign of course, lying on this like he does with everything else)…

…and given this recent typical idiocy from Steve “Calves The Size of Cantaloupes” King, I’m duly obligated to provide this clip once more (don’t want to contemplate the clueless meat sacks in Iowa who keep sending King back to Congress every two years)…

…and Kyle K. tells us that the Saudis just won some kind of counter-terrorism award; yep, I guess we’re officially “through the looking glass” now (NSFW)…

...and here's a somewhat retro new tune that the kids seem to like, so here it is (a little NSFW).

Wednesday Stuff

Yeah, Rachel Maddow tells us about the collusion between at least 4 members of the regime of Generalissimo Trump and our ol' buddy Vlad Putin...

…and who exactly is this demonic entity named Stephen Miller anyway? David Pakman tells us more…

…and Seth Meyers gives us a pretty informed take on the administrative implosion of our 45th president…

…and Chris Hayes talks with Col. Lawrence Wilkerson of what the rest of the world thinks of all of this insanity…

…and Cenk and Ana weigh in (and “No Corporate Tax” Pat Toomey criticized the leaks as opposed to the actual collusion between the “Trumpsters” and Putin – typical)…

…and happy birthday to Gary Clark, Jr. (yeah, definitely the news is on my mind with this selection, from the Grammys the other night – could have gone on with this one for about 10 more minutes, but it’s great for what it is).

Tuesday Stuff

This is a little behind the news curve given this, but I still think this is spot-on commentary by K.O…

…and Seth Meyers makes some similar points with humor here, though I’ll admit that the “Trumpster” stuff is less and less funny with each passing day…

…and even though the Bucks County Courier Times and Philadelphia’s conservative newspaper of record in these parts have a lot to answer for also, I nonetheless think Bill Maher’s comments about knowledge here are spot-on…

…and Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone.

Monday Stuff

In terms of the stuff that Fix Noise propagandizes about on a daily basis, this is comparatively low-hanging fruit as far as I’m concerned (only because you’d truly have to be an imbecile to argue it – again, it’s Fix Noise I know), but for the record, Rev. Al is absolutely right of course…

..and Rachel Maddow talks with Dem Congressman Adam Schiff about the latest on “Trumpster” Michael Flynn and the latter’s talks with Russia before the election, and referencing their influence in helping to elect Fergus Laing…

...and Kyle K. tells us that Iran's "Supreme Leader" thanked Trump for showing the true face of the USA, or something (NSFW - one of the most intelligent analyses of all of the Middle East stuff I've heard in awhile)...

…and RIP Al Jarreau (something more apropos for tomorrow I guess).
