Saturday Stuff

Rachel Maddow reminds us of the role Roger Stone played in the Russian government’s election interference in 2016 to aid the Trump campaign; as I’m sure we all know by now, Stone had his sentenced commuted by the Gropenfuhrer as a reward for keeping his mouth shut (typical for a criminal despotic regime like this one - more here)…

…and speaking of criminal despots, this ad draws a line from our ruling cabal of frauds and lowlifes to our “good friends” the Saudis; I’m not happy that the ad includes Fix Noise personalities including the Swanson TV Dinner heir, but it makes good points, and it contains images of 9/11 that may be distressing (and speaking of what turned out to be an iconic image, I was sorry to hear about this)…to be fair, politicians of both parties have been tripping over themselves to curry favor with the Saudis, but of course 45 is doing that on steroids, you might say…

…and Chris Hayes tells us all about Repug non-governance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, though of course there have been exceptions such as the ones noted, along with Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland…

…and gee, it looks like Kayleigh McEnany, this week’s Trump Administration Press Secretary, isn’t feeling any shame over the “handout” her family took for their construction business, as Farron Cousins tells us (more here)…

…and this may be the very lowest of this week’s “low-hanging fruit”…Trumpster and Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams thinks conservatives will be hunted under a potential Joe Biden administration (sounds a little like Ted Nugent saying he would be dead or in jail if Obama won a second term…I guess, to paraphrase Laura Ingraham, my response would be “shut up and draw”)…

...and I'm in the mood for another summer tune, and I had to dig a bit deeper than usual for this one (and no, I wouldn't buy a used car from any of these people).

Friday Stuff

I thought Kyle’s take on the Supreme Court decision regarding #45 was pretty spot-on…a bit of a “half a loaf” ruling from the High Court of Hangin’ Judge JR (so the Feds should get the Gropenfuhrer’s tax returns, but not Congress until after the election at the earliest – though, once again, Kyle is utterly wrong to trivialize “Russia gate”)…

…and as long as we’re talking about Our Pumpkin Pestilence, I should note that, even though this gang supported Republicans up until now, this is still a pretty ballin’ ad (and when it comes to sycophants for Mango Mussolini, let’s not forget this guy too)…

…and yeah, “where did all the money go” indeed (another reason for this as far as I’m concerned)…

…and turning once more to our regularly scheduled plague, this is a compilation of anti-maskers flipping out…

…and this New York Times report tells us how ICE is spreading COVID-19…not sure I can find the words to truly communicate my rage and disgust over someone who has lived in this country for 20 years suddenly being seized by ICE and separated from his autistic son – it may take decades to undo the utter wreckage from the Trump regime…

…and David Doel tells us that a teen died after her mother took her to a “Covid party”…just horrible in probably every way you can imagine...

…and John and Ana of TYT tell us about Harvard and MIT pushing back against ICE and the Trump DHS for trying to get foreign students booted out of this country when they take courses online (I swear, it’s a wonder ANY college students still want to come to this now-sh*thole of a country to study)…

…and I know I’m overdue for a good new tune again, and I think this makes the grade.

Wednesday Stuff

I don’t often put up a clip from Mrs. Greenspan, but I thought I should call out this particularly brazen and stupid lie from Generalissimo Trump, about 99 percent of COVID cases supposedly being harmless… for God’s sake, what is it going to take for our corporate media to just say flat out that TRUMP IS LYING???!!!…

…and here is “Costco Ken” having a meltdown; NSFW/H – an update is here…serves him right (and spare me this garbage about “oh, I’m asthmatic, and I can’t breathe through the mask”)…

…and Ana and Cenk tell us that the Gropenfuhrer just wants us all to live with the virus…or perhaps, die with the virus, since it makes no difference to him either way…

…and I came across another homemade-looking video on a subject that I hope will get more attention in the news sooner than later (tied to the pandemic)…

…and sticking with #midnightmoscowmitch, Farron Cousins tells us that Sen. Mr. Elaine Chao is trying to tank the economy to own the libs, or something – to respond to this garbage, click here

…and RIP film composer Ennio Morricone, known perhaps for this theme above all others.

Tuesday Stuff

I thought this was a pretty good analysis of the media landscape from Thom Hartmann, including the Swanson TV Dinner heir of course - yeah, "Tucker in '24" huh? Stranger things have happened I guess (interesting history lesson on the Missouri Compromise and how that led to the Civil War and trying to bring slavery throughout the North…I hope Thom is right about the racist a-holes shrinking in numbers)…

Update 7/8/20: Between questioning the patriotism of Dem U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth, who lost most of her legs during Iraq War II (here) and this, the Swanson TV Dinner Heir is having quite the week - utterly craven and spineless POS.

…and Kyle K. tells us about the North Carolina city banning a protest against a Confederate monument, leading into a broader free speech discussion…

…and it looks like Generalissimo Trump is PO’ed at NYC and Mayor de Blasio for a BLM mural on Fifth Avenue; of course, Our Orange Pestilence has to do whatever he can to promote symbols of hate…well, not really, but he does anyway as we know (John I. and Ana discuss)…

…and speaking of Our Traitorous Russian Operative in the White House, I don’t know what else needs to be said beyond this…

…and gee, it looks like Mango Mussolini can’t crow about the economy any more, can he (and I thought this was a timely related post)…

…and happy 80th birthday to Mr. Starkey – we’ll be recognizing the 80th of another Beatle later this year.

Monday Stuff

Gee, I hope everyone had a nice Fourth – video loops all over again (based on this)...

…and sticking with the Sunshine State…talk about a Mickey Mouse idea...heh - and yeah, I know it really isn't funny at all (Ana and Cenk explain)...

…and Brian Tyler Cohen tells us about Repug U.S. Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa basically saying that Obama bungled Ebola (where only 2 people died), but Mango Mussolini is showing great leadership, or something, on COVID-19 (where we’ve lost about 130,000 so far...to do something about Ernst, please click here)…

…and Sam and the TMR crew weigh in on the statues debate, taking a look at the one where Lincoln is depicted freeing a slave at Lincoln’s feet – aside from any scatological implications you might draw, my own take on it…for as much as my take actually matters, I know…is that the statue, well intentioned as it is, reflects probably a fifth-grade understanding of the issue with a sensibility that’s about 100 years old at least…no issue at all with taking it down…

…and speaking of history, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – why the hell can’t the Democrats show enough of a spine to come up with ads like this??!!...

…and it looks like Our Treasonous Orange Dictator is ripping off another well-known artist (here) – I took a look outside the window and thought immediately of this tune.

Sunday Stuff (update)

Gee, maybe we ought to do something about this climate change thing, huh? Farron Cousins explains…

…and David Doel discusses the cop in Massachusetts who was fired over supporting BLM (actually, she was supporting a family member and apologized, but that wasn’t good enough, as almost always seems to be the case)…

…and I happened to come across this homemade (looks like) video in my content search about an item recently in the news, so I thought I’d share it here…

Update 7/6/20: Oh, and by the way...

…and here’s a nice little summer tune – hopefully, this will provide a bit of a respite before we face what will likely be more insanity this week (love to be wrong).
