I guess even Pope Benny sees “the handwriting on the wall” (and let us not forget that His Holiness was the one who issued the edict that pro-choice Catholic politicians – i.e., John Kerry running in ‘04 – should be barred from receiving Communion, which certainly steered Catholics and others towards Dubya…Chris Floyd wrote a scathing piece months ago about what could have been a link between Bushco and the Vatican, and what their common interests were, and if I can track it down, I’ll link to it here).
