Wednesday Stuff

I suppose you can refer to this as my "Crime and Punishment"-themed post...first, John Oliver tells us about some episodes of the "99 percent" dealing with bail restrictions that can be described as, as best, Dickensian (here - NSFW)...

...and Chris Hayes tells us the tragic story of Kalief Browder - Hayes's justly-deserved and simmering rage is palpable (and Rand Paul is still an idiot)...

(P.S. - You may probably have to endure an ad on behalf of fracking in our beloved commonwealth that is total garbage. Keep that in mind when I also tell you that Hayes's recent interview with "Gasland 2" director Josh Fox is nowhere to be found on the web site for that supposedly "liberal" cable TV network MSNBC.)

...and former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich shines the spotlight on environmental lawbreakers...

...and on a wholly other note, yesterday marked what would have been the 100th birthday of guitar virtuoso Les Paul (definitely no relation to that numbskull from Kentucky).
