Monday Stuff

Just say “oops” and get out, “Saint” Orrin – and oh yes, please regale us once more with your tales of how you lived in a shack with a label for a wall or something while you earned your law degree; you’re one of the most fossilized members of your utterly decrepit political party (and by the way, kudos to Claire McCaskill)…

..and here is your reminder of just how awful Roy Moore truly is (to help Doug Jones, click herethis, though, definitely isn’t good news about the man from Minnesota - I seem to recall an SNL skit he did once with the late Tom Davis that now seems eerily prescient)…

…and I know there are so many damn battles going on right now, but this may be one of the biggest (more here)…

…and Kyle K. tells us about 32 Justice Democrats (NSFW – and yeah, Kaniela Ing in particular sounds like a pretty smart guy to me also)…

…and a month ago today marked an anniversary that I forgot to note – nine days of hearings by the House Un-American Activities Committee began on October 20, 1947, which led to the creation of the so-called “Hollywood Blacklist”; I was reminded of this when Turner Classic Movies showed “Hollywood On Trial,” narrated by John Huston (and leave it to The Sainted Ronnie R to act like the utter stooge he truly was…there are a few good movies in particular about this, and one is “The Front,” with Woody Allen and Zero Mostel)…

…and RIP Malcolm Young of AC/DC.
