…and I thought I’d include this as a tribute to Sir Paul for his little “library” jab here at Obama’s predecessor, which of course has inspired wingnut harrumphing (moving a bit slower and not quite hitting the high notes he used to, but still rocking out big time – I’d like to tell you I think of this song every time I concoct one of these blog posts, and I wish it were true).

The pictures are wrenching. The unseen but known horror is wrenching. I have to turn off the news today because I cant take it anymore. I can't fix anything, and I cant stand watching. I don't know what to do with my anger.
As for Bush ...he said his biggest regret in his presidency was NOT privatizing social security.
So, Bush regrets he did not have those funds for seniors go down the black hole on Wall Street with all the pension money they saved.

I’m not the biggest fan in the world of Andrew Sullivan, but he said tonight on “Real Time with Bill Maher” that Dubya and Cheney are monsters for advocating torture. We know that already, I know, but it’s still startling to realize that a president and vice-president, even in an all-too-comfortable retirement, can still call for this stuff (at least Nixon made some attempt at image restoration…no shot with these two, though).
