Tuesday Stuff

"Worst Persons" (Dick Morris of Fix Noise points out that "nobody on the right has criticized Obama over race"...

...no, not much they haven't, you fool; Michele Bachmann is back to spout more nonsense about illegal immigrants - you know, there was a time when I would have liked to have seen her, Palin, Wrong-Way Wilson and some of these characters defeated and the Repug Party return to some kind of pre-1992 level of sanity, but now, I hope that never happens...I hope they continue taking up space and serving as the equivalent of political carnival freaks for all time, since I'm sure those teabaggin' 9/12 wingnuts (1 million? 2 million? How many attended Saturday as of five minutes ago?) wouldn't have it any other way; and speaking of which, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina JUST HAPPENS to point out that conservative hacktacular scribe Thomas Sowell criticized Obama, and he JUST HAPPENS to be an African America also)...

Update 9/16/09: What BarbinMD sez here...

...and this song seems appropriate after too much blogging about the wingnuts (my guess is that most bloggers generally feel like this from time to time).

Update 9/16/09: By the way, on another matter, this is what commenter Anon is referring to.

Hey LD,

Before he gets rid of the evidence, check out our favorite local wingnut blogger and columnist from the last few weeks. I suspect he's taken up the fine art of sock puppetry. Check out "charley." Especially in the Terri Schiavo column talkback.

I just checked it out, and I think you may be onto something. Wow, what an exercise in deniability! As far as "charley" is concerned, Michael Schiavo received a big insurance settlement, then decided to have Terri put to death (and, to me, there's a big difference between being "disabled" and suffering from a "persistent vegetative state," especially when it's so stated by at least one court), and then was encouraged to fly to Spain and take a mistress by the Schindler family.

You know what? Let them continue to preoccupy themselves with "values voter" red meat nonsense like this (not calling the real pain of this situation "nonsense," but only the reaction). Meanwhile, the adults will continue to do the hard work of cleaning up the messes created by the numbskulls these life forms voted into office (primarily a certain 43rd president).

I'd bet a week's salary that charley is "he who blogs himself."

Amusingly, he weighed in on the column about the mom who went to gitmo with "Good column."

If you look back on his comments in the blog, you'll see charley's writing style is very familiar. The use of "dude," "bush derangement syndrome" and the ever popular "Byrd was in the KKK." Go back and read his last few weeks of talkbacks with this in mind. It's pretty funny. Especially when he tries to trump an argument about racism with an obviously baiting "I'm black." Uh-huh.

Interstingly, the Schiavo tirades ceased from charley seemed to stop on Saturday during the hours when JDM was at the tea party. Of course, there's no way to difinitively prove this unless some brave liberal who works at the website wants to step up, but a monkey could recognize that hack writing style.

How dumb do you have to be to sockpuppet your own column, especially after the string of scandals in that area?

Yep, I'd call this whole business a pretty damn sorry spectacle - can't wait to hear the propaganda from Mullane on Christie/Corzine...better keep the hip waders handy.

What's funny is he posted about taking on the Jersey beat and covering the governors race a few days before "Wrong way Christie" came out. Never mentioned it. Somehow I think if that was Corzine, he would have gotten a column and 5 blog items out of it.
