This is just a remembrance of Art Buchwald, who passed away today, and who will be buried in Vineyard Haven.And knowing "the island" as I do, no one else will ever sit in that chair running the "Possible Dreams" auction again (though others no doubt will carry on in his place).

Thanks for the remembrance. I have his books. He was a great man, a great humorist, and brillantly observant. He had class to take charge of the end of his life with humor. I recall Irma Bombeck, another great humorist died of kidney failure and she refused to jump ahead on the transplant list when it was offered to her as a celebrity. Art left with class and honor and humor and will never be replaced. I am greatful to have his books.
