Sounds like the French and German governments stood up to crazed nationalists yesterday and said that a cartoon that offended the sensibilities of a particular group of people should be published anyway.Funny, but I seemed to recall a time when there never would have been a controversy like that in this country (right?), but I guess that's "so pre-9/11" of me, I suppose.
