Wednesday Stuff
This Damage Report segment gives us an extended clip of former U.S. Navy and SEAL team vet (as well as Minnesota governor) Jesse Ventura, in which he speaks with Piers Morgan about Ventura’s family’s military service, which is commendable...the former wrestler may be “out there” on some issues, but as far as I’m concerned, when Ventura’s right, he hits the proverbial bullseye, as he does about #47 and the military along with the fact that Combover Caligula has about as much business being included in the “wrestling hall of fame” as I do; also, our *preznit has ordered troops to war while he and his family have zero military service (important history on David Robinson, the former San Antonio Spurs basketball player and Navy vet)...and leave it to former “South Park” writer Toby Morton to get the whole “Draft Barron” thing going (John Iadarola tells us about it...”what greater badge of honor is there than Donald Trump’s disdain” indeed)...
...and Rachel Maddow informs us of how Bronzer Beelzebub is planning to use DHS to mess with this fall’s elections...her report starts with the note that the CDC windows shot up by a gunman about seven months ago (an incident that killed a police officer) still haven’t been repaired yet...also, it looks like the Department of Education has basically been shut down, even if the regime of Pumpkin Pol Pot can’t do that officially without Congress...probably illegal to use DHS to target election administration, though of course illegality has NEVER stopped this regime from pulling all kinds of nonsense (clip mentions that Fulton County raid that “Tokyo Rose” Gabbard was involved in for some reason)...and oh yeah, it looks like Cheetoh Hitler wants voting records in Minnesota too...
...and this report from the DW German news network lets us know that Pope Leo recently said, “God rejects the prayers of those who wage war,” in comments timed for Holy Week - that includes SecDef Kegseth; religious language coming out of that empty vessel’s mouth sounds profane...journalist Seema Gupta offers some context on how other popes have chosen their language when stepping into the public sphere, particularly when it comes to armed conflict...
...and Brittany Page brings us the sorry tale of Newsmax numbskull Carl Higbie laughing at the homeless; looks like that goofball Michael Savage is in the middle of this, which isn’t surprising (and oh yeah, isn’t Savage sooo compassionate wanting the homeless to supposedly get the care that they need in the internment camps Savage is talking about – “I’d like ‘Things That Will Never Happen Within The Plane of Reality’ for $100, Alex.”)...as we learn, the number of cost-burdened renter households has reached an all-time high at 22.7 million, with more than 30 percent of income for these folks on rent and utilities...and I’ve heard that homelessness is a big problem in San Francisco, but I refuse to believe that automatic incarceration is the answer...God bless Timothy; I hope he finds the peace and relief in the afterlife that he apparently couldn’t find in this world...
...and Desi Lydic of The Daily Show gives us a news update...I really want to steer clear of the whole “Kristi Noem’s husband’s female online persona” thing; I just hope all parties affected get the counseling they need (not into kink shaming, unless it has to do with putting down someone else)...and gas prices are indeed going up because of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz – yet another broken promise from the Tangerine Toddler, though, of course, he NEVER has a problem goading our allies about that or anything else...Thank You For Your Attention To This Matter)...and what would the story of Our Shiny New Middle East War be without an appearance by SecDef Kegseth? Well, smarter and less ridiculous, ultimately (“a beautiful deployment mustache”? What, is this supposed to be “Brokeback Mountain 2”?)...and in a similar vein, along comes Huckleberry Graham to cheer for yet another conflict he would never fight in himself, though of course he has time to go to the Magic Kingdom while our brave men and women are in harm’s way...
...and RIP composer Chip Taylor, who authored this tune among others.
