Monday Stuff

This report from the German news service DW gives us the details on Viktor Orban’s recent election loss in Hungary to Peter Magyar, and it looks like Magyar’s party also won big – none of this “oh, divided government will save us” BS like we have in this country; electing a head of a party as *preznit but putting the oppo party in charge of Congress is a recipe for gridlock; we’re all done with the ‘90s and “The West Wing” by Aaron Sorkin (and yes, that comment definitely assumes putting the “D” team in charge, in case that wasn’t obvious...report by correspondents Ferenc Gaal and Fanny Facsar...a lot still to be sorted out in that country, but definitely good news as of this moment...that said, credit to Orban for congratulating Magyar, which Bronzer Beelzebub would NEVER do of course)...

...and this CBS News story details how a priest in Oakland Park (near Miami) named Father Bob Caudill is facing half a million dollars in fines for feeding the homeless in an area that apparently wasn’t “zoned” for it; didn’t know there was “zoning” involved when it comes to acts of decency and compassion...I know this story is a month old and I’m sorry I’m a little late here, but I didn’t want to let this slip through the cracks (and it sounds like the church isn’t affiliated with the Archdiocese of Miami, though they should reach out to Fr. Bob on that IMO)...

...and I know I said I’d keep these folks on a “short leash,” but I now present this clip of Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian of TYT with some testimony from one of our soldiers who survived the Iranian drone attack on our base in Kuwait...color me (not) shocked, but It looks like SecDef Kegseth has been lying through his teeth, again (taking a break from sneering at reporters)...I don’t see any proof for Cenk’s charge that we were protecting Israel instead of our men and women in the military (though the awful results of the drone attack speak for themselves), but that statement definitely tracks with the wretched policies of our “clown car” of a presidential administration...I honestly don’t have any insight into the so-called “rescue operation” of our personnel in the F-15 that was shot down so I can’t argue with the official story, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that turned out to be yet another lie also...

...and this recent “I Doubt It” podcast with Jesse Dollemore and Brittany Page tells us more on Riley Podleski, who apparently is SecDef Kegseth’s little Trumpette propaganda princess (and typical move by the Gropenfuhrer to have the plane engine roaring in the background while the reporters were asking questions, which was staged as far as I’m concerned – the engine sound I mean...The Sainted Ronnie R used to pretend he couldn’t hear reporters over the whirring of the blades of the helicopter transporting him to Camp David)...and yes, while it’s encouraging that our two downed airmen were rescued inside Iran and those accomplishing this heroic mission should receive all the praise and possibly awards due to them, I don’t want to hear about how we’ve supposedly degraded Iran’s air and defense capability; if we’d done that to the full extent of what is claimed by this regime of liars and cowards, then our two airmen wouldn’t have been shot down in the first place, as Jesse points out...I know I said for the TYT clip that I didn’t automatically believe the official story, and I still don’t, but it’s possible the gang from our ruling cabal may (and I emphasize MAY) be telling the truth (and I’m sure a lot of those comments praising Dementia J. Trump on that propaganda clip were from bots, but my guess is that Jesse and Brittany know that)...mildly NSFW/H...

...well, given these segments on Combover Caligula’s Not-So-Excellent Adventure in Iran, I think it’s apropos to present the following response from Mr. Newberger...

...and I know I had a tune to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Phil Ochs last Friday, but I’m in the mood for another one (probably with the CBS story in mind here I’ll admit).
