Monday Stuff

Oh look, Combover Caligula’s war of choice versus Iran has caused “the largest disruption in the history of the global oil market” according to industry analysts, as we learn from Emma Vigeland and The Majority Report...and of course, in response, #47 is telling everyone to SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP about high gas prices and deal with it (yeah...let’s see how well THAT message plays out in November)...prices have jumped 35 cents in a week, and it will likely go higher...and oh yeah, here come more lies about Iran killing US citizens for 47 years, all without proof of course (what a mental defective our *preznit truly is...let’s see if he and his lizard-brained followers chanting “U-S-A!” are still quite so rambunctious after Iran has effectively shut down the Strait of Hormuz for months and the world is gripped by a COVID-like recession as a result, to say nothing of the ongoing threat to our military)...and for the umpteenth time I know, we had a nuke deal with Iran under Obama, but Trump waddled away from it...and as usual, the top fraction of 1 percent has gamed “the big casino” of our economy to clean up when we have rising energy prices, while the rest of us get nothing by comparison (and another good point is to mention the Biden clean energy initiatives that could have helped here that Cheetoh Benito destroyed...slightly NSFW/H)...

...and this clip from Canadian television (the CBC) explains why securing the Strait of Hormuz is harder than our clown car of an administration suggests (with Lyndsay Duncombe)...and we have “don’t need to worry about it” Kegseth lying as usual, especially since, as the journalist interviewed suggests, Iran has lots of options when it comes to disrupting ship traffic, including using shoulder-fired missiles; we also learn that clearing mines in the strait is dangerous and risky (which, again, should have been foreseen by any adult with an actual brain), and the ships that ARE getting through are signaling that they’re from China or Iran, and even THOSE signals are getting “spoofed” (an update is here, with the Tangerine Toddler kicking and screaming that someone else needs to clean up his mess...how disgustingly predictable)...

...and turning to domestic political matters, Belle of the Ranch tells us about U.S. Senate Repugs blocking DHS and TSA funding...it looks like Dem Senator Patty Murray commendably asked for unanimous consent on a measure to fund areas of DHS not having to do with immigration enforcement as well as for TSA and cyber security, and three guesses what happened next and the first two don’t count...yeah, Repugs have no problem caterwauling on TV and social media about how obstructionist Dems allegedly are, but when it’s time to do some actual governance, they suddenly “reach for the chicken switch,” you might say (‘don’t let them lie to you about this” indeed...and I love the shirt)...

...and I now give you the latest installment of “This Day In Doomsy History” from 3/16/12...sadly, I think this clip from "back in the day" is timely given this awful story...oh, so this Mark Gordon Philistine who’s the governor of Wyoming signs a bill banning abortion after 6 weeks (when most women don’t even know they’re pregnant, and joining four other states with similar bans), and he acts like the lack of exceptions in the bill goes against his beliefs or whatever...but he signs the stinking thing into law anyway? What, does this guy think he should get credit somehow? Because, as always, it’s Jobs, Jobs, Jobs for Not Your Father’s Republican Party...

...and returning to our regularly scheduled war, I thought I’d include this item from Mr. Newberger...

...and I think this guy is coming to Philly on June 4th...should be a good show if his other tunes rock like this one.
