Tuesday Stuff (updates)

Caleb Cunningham and Farron Cousins let us know that an election denier from our beloved commonwealth will head Trump’s “election security” team of course (someone named Heather Honey – sounds like a p*rn star)...yep, as Cunningham says, #47 is getting ready to pre-emptively claim “election fraud” along with the gerrymandering and other BS games the “R” party is trying to pull for next year...good point about Mike Lindell going to the mat for the Gropenfuhrer and getting tossed aside as usual for people sucked into Trump’s orbit...”this is only going to get worse as they get more desperate” indeed...

...and David Shuster of Rebel HQ brings us the sorry tale of Our Ochre Abomination declaring war on Chicago because I guess he needs something to do, with our economy doing so well that he doesn’t need to pay any attention (#sarcasm)...yeah, the movie poster is about par for the course from this sorry lot of frauds and neophytes...didn’t know about the anti-ICE protests over the weekend – great job to stay strong...and yeah, it looks like Don the Con is continuing to tank our economy with raiding a Hyundai manufacturing facility...and speaking of the effects of wind (were we?), it looks like that thing on top of Pumpkin Pol Pot’s head is taking on a life of its own)...and yep, 22K jobs added in August – with a number that bad, it might as well be 0 (and I wonder if #47 will fire the person responsible for communicating that awful info as he did last time?)... and given that polling number, after this experience, I don’t think I want anything to do with a registered Republican for the rest of my days...

...and with the prior clip in mind, I now give you the latest installment of “This Day In Doomsy History” from 9/9/19, in which Dem U.S. House Rep Ro Khanna speaks with someone named Steve Hilton on Fix Noise about an approach to delivering skilled jobs across this country including rural communities and what we need to do to make that happen in terms of a public sector/private sector partnership (and as Khanna notes, he mentioned this to Wonder Boy Jared Kushner since this was during the first failed era for Cheetoh Hitler, but it obviously didn’t go anywhere – Kyle Kulinski leads the segment...it indeed sounds like a “tech New Deal,” which works for me, and I would also punish employers offshoring jobs within this framework...good job by Kyle to keep this segment "G" rated)...

...and John and Sharon Reed of The Damage Report bring us the news of Demetre Daskalakis of the CDC resigning given the havoc created by “Bobby Brainworms,” but look... Daskalakis is GAY (from this Buddy Carter wingnut along with Rand “Fake Ophthalmologist” Paul...I’d forgotten about Jr. “inadvertently” groping a woman; if we lived in a normal timeline, that by itself would likely have been disqualifying for the Kennedy scion...didn’t know red states were hit disproportionately harder than blue states when it comes to CDC funding cuts, but yeah, that sure figures also)...

...and Seth Meyers gives us “A Closer Look” with our ruling regime threatening to send troops to Chicago (this is a little behind the news cycle I’ll admit, but I still wanted to get to it)...sounds like more distractions by wanting to go to war with Venezuela AND “The Windy City”...and I’ll bet that even a 90-year-old hippie could kick Baby Goebbels’s sorry butt...and though what necessitated the Epstein files is terrible (the awful abuse of these young girls), watching our “big, strong, and not ‘woke’” *preznit trying to backpedal is indeed justice of a sort (not what is called for of course, which is serious prison time, especially in light of this, and sending Ghislaine Maxwell back to the big house for real; I’m only commenting on the political blowback)...and I can’t believe that Marjorie Train Wreck Greene is actually doing the right thing here, but I have to admit that she is (maybe for crass political reasons, but I have to point that out)...

...and RIP Mark Volman, who partnered with Howard Kaylan on The Turtles and Flo and Eddie...

...and with that, I now take my leave of you for a few days for some much-needed R&R. I’ll plan to get this going again sometime next week.

Update 1 9/10/25: It should go without saying that this is absolutely terrible, and I’ve said that there’s never an excuse for violence (I’ve only ever made an exception for bin Laden – maybe I was wrong, but I’m standing by that). Charlie Kirk represented absolutely nothing that I ever believed in, but this is still an awful tragedy that never should have happened. However, I’m already hearing about “Democrats and ‘woke’ liberals” being blamed, which is about what you can expect from the “shoot first and aim later” crowd.

I’m sure we’ll be treated to more escalated rhetoric and behavior over this (I’d love to be wrong). More’s the pity.
And by the way, let’s not forget about this (and this is typical).

Update 2: What Markos sez here.
