Friday Stuff

Leeja Miller tells us about U.S. Senate Repugs doing their best to ramrod the nomination of Emil Bove for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, along with the walkout of the Dems on the Judiciary Committee in response (and yes, that’s a lifetime confirmation), all of which would put Bove in the running to replace Almost Silent Clarence Thomas and “Strip Search Sammy” Alito on the SCOTUS (here)...and oh yeah, Bove’s most recent full time job was defending Pumpkin Pol Pot; I realize that, if we lived in an era that was actually sane, the issue of “conflict of interest” would matter...oh, and Bove carried out a vendetta of sorts against prosecutors who went after the 1/6 insurrectionists, among Bove’s other myriad disqualifying factors, including Bove’s involvement in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case and Bove’s attacks on “sanctuary cities,” and oh yeah, there is Bove spiking charges against NYC mayor Eric Adams (who no doubt celebrated with another flight to Turkey)...there’s also the matter of a letter against Bove’s confirmation signed by 900 DOJ attorneys...I’m definitely not in a position to evaluate Bove’s successful prosecution of foreign criminals related to illegal narcotics, but as Miller points out, that’s kind of a curious background to have if you’re angling for a job on the federal bench, which should be heavy on interpreting existing statues and case law as opposed to finding ways to deport people...and yeah, this Whitney Hermandorfer sure sounds like a prize also (here - NSFW/H)...

...and Kyle Kulinski tells us that the war on science waged by Dementia Donnie has hit a disgusting new low...Kyle’s absolutely right about the ”brain drain” on this country, and as we learn here, up next for the “sledgehammer treatment” is the Office of Research and Development at the EPA, because who needs scientific research to maintain and (dare I say it) actually IMPROVE our quality of life... and to echo Kyle’s point, I don’t care what anybody says; when it comes to Bronzer Beelzebub, every...damn...thing...he...does...hurts...us...and...plays...right...into...the...hands...of...Vlad...The...Butcher – I don’t know how the hell else to say it (NSFW/H also)...

...and Thom Hartmann lets us know about Our Ochre Abomination making the CFPB basically non-functional by firing the people who stood up for us and replacing them with the typical toadies doing the bidding of the Gropenfuhrer; this was the only government agency that helped us when we were defrauded by the big banks...Thom talks about the CFPB dropping the case against the Navy Federal Credit Union, which is typical for this bunch...also, a rule that would have lowered bank overdraft fees was just overturned by the Republican congress, because of course...a lawsuit brought by the agency against Capital One bank was also canned, and Thom also mentions other actions brought by the CFPB that Trump dropped as soon as he took over...

...and Farron Cousins informs us that King Elon I’s “America Party”or whatever could mess up the Repugs for the ’26 midterms...interesting, but I seriously don’t think the ketamine addict has the slightest inclination towards doing the work (or, more likely, HIRING people to do the work for him) that it takes to put together a slate of candidates and field them for next year, to say nothing of ’28 (sure would be interesting if he did, though)...and I’d heard about Our Treasonous Orange Pustule trying to gerrymander state maps for Repugs; never a bottom too low for these nematodes...

...and David Pakman tells us that Jeffrey Epstein’s “ex” Stacey Williams has accused Cantaloupe Capone of groping her...and yeah, I think you’d have to be a stone cold moron at this point (and I realize that doesn’t eliminate a lot of the MAGA crowd) NOT to believe that #47 and Epstein were buds, at a minimum...and I didn’t make the connection with Tulsi Gabbard trying to worm her way back into Bronzer Beelzebub’s good graces by floating the Obama treason nonsense, but that seems to fit also...

...and the Onion News Network brings us jarring video of a motorist stopped by police in a completely non-threatening manner and not accosted or intimidated in any way whatsoever; I’m sure this will prompt an immediate congressional investigation (and yeah, this is a joke...I hope)...

...and RIP Chuck Mangione...

...and I’d like to conclude my tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with this number from Black Sabbath.
