Wednesday Stuff

On the one hand, yeah, it’s interesting to see the back-and-forth between the corporatist Republicans and the uber-nutty grass roots fringe, but this stuff would be a hell of a lot less relevant if something had been done about it in the November election…

...and John Oliver dispenses New Years Eve advice as only he can...

…and as I’ve said before, you’d be better off watching paint dry as opposed to viewing a single second of Fix Noise…

Update 1/1/15: More like this.

…and Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich tells us about progressive gains in 2014 and what we still have to do for 2015…

…and here’s a song for drawing the curtain on 2014, a year full of potential change that, as far as I’m concerned, was pretty much not realized due to the influence of big money and the incompetence of the supposed Democratic Party geniuses of the beltway (Tom Wolf in PA was definitely an exception, though), to say nothing of truly appalling and historic voter apathy…

…and I was also looking for an anthemic tune to kick off the new year, and I think this works (coincides with Patti Smith’s recent birthday also) – best wishes to one and all for a happy and healthy 2015.
