If those who object to workers rights being protected had to work on a steel structure in the middle of July and be denied access to drinking water because "time is money" then perhaps they would have a different attitude.
It happened, in NYC on a construction project until the shop steward brought buckets of water up to the men after telling the company man not to walk to close to the edge lest he "fall" off.
Thats how it was in those days. Just the tip of the iceberg.
Proud to say the shop steward was my husband.
