Sunday Stuff

I haven't paid a lot of attention to Dylan Ratigan, but I thought this was as good a time as any concerning Afghanistan; I think in the early part of this report, Richard Engel sounds a bit hawkish, but as the report goes on, you really get a picture from him of what a mess the country truly is (he has volumes of "cred" on this obviously, and I haven't see the documentary that aired tonight...all of this is a setup for linking to Frank Rich's fine column today on this subject here)...

...and NOW he's hedging about "whether or not we should have gone in" Iraq? On what "other days" do you plan to "cover" this, Sen. McSellout (here)?

On Dylan Ratigan.

I found him to be quite non partisan in his commentaries as they relate to business and industry and money. He can explain the reasons for the financial crisis and the exotic deals that caused it. He puts the blame where it belongs. Very enlightening. He coined the phrase "corporate communism" and I never heard a better definition of what passes today in this country for "free market capitalism".
The trolls and malcontents who rail against"socialism" over the health care proposal are dupes, being used and they are too stupid to know it.
Ratigan has it right on how capitalism is supposed to work, and its not what we have today.
And the malcontents just don't get it.
He does good interviews also. I am very disappointed this morning to see Tweety sitting in for him...a sign that he is a goner.
Maybe he angered too many corporate sponsors. The bottom line is always the bottom line.
