Brian Tyler Cohen and election lawyer extraordinaire Marc Elias bring us the story of Not Your Father’s Republican Party trying to get the SCOTUS to make sure PA voters don’t get the chance to cast provisional ballots in person on Election Day if those voters had accidentally cast “naked” mail-in ballots previously without the privacy envelope, which wouldn't count...the SCOTUS decision on this is pending at the moment, but I think we all know which direction this is likely to go unfortunately (especially since it looks like “Strip Search Sammy” Alito will get this)...and oh yeah, PA Repugs are trying to work in this “Independent State Legislature” BS theory again (here)...and Cohen and Elias are right about PA’s antiquated voting laws that “Pennsyltucky” refuses to change; anytime Dems try to modernize voting laws in our beloved commonwealth, the “R” party starts bellowing “OH YEAH? THEN PASS VOTER ID!,” which continues to be a “solution” in search of an actual problem...and boy oh boy, is Elias ever right about voting blue up and down the ballot!...



...and David Pakman tells us that the “R” team is panicking over the racism displayed by conservative “comedian” Tony Hinchcliffe during that recent MSG rally...oh yeah, Brian Kilmeade of Fix and Fiends sez, “Well, Hinchcliffe said this stuff two hours before Trump came on stage,” as if somehow that absolves Our Big Sweaty Orange Cheetoh of any responsibility for vetting these characters appearing at his own damn rally...and oh yeah, that line about the Harris supporter masquerading as a NY Times reporter or something like that was just precious, wasn’t it?...



...and Mike Figueredo of The Humanist Report informs us of “black” Trump supporters outed as white...first, some assclown named Dean Browning, and now some “black insurrectionist” named Jason Palmer...amazes me that these numbskulls think they can pull off this stuff and somehow NOT get caught eventually (NSFW/H)...

...and Ali Velshi introduces this segment with Rachel Maddow discussing the loss of abortion rights, bringing us the gut-wrenching stories of women becoming critically ill and dying in many cases because they were unable to benefit from a “D and C” procedure, which was standard under Roe, but is no longer in Repug-run states all over this country, but in particular in “the land of the yellow rose,” where Kate Cox had to flee the state to get the court-allowed abortion she needed (here)...one of Maddow’s many great points is how abortion bans also effect post-partum care after women give birth...also, we’re reminded about Deborah Dorbert, forced to carry a non-viable fetus for months in Flori-DUUUH! because of that state’s anti-abortion law...and oh yeah, South Carolina JAILED a woman for a miscarriage – what the f*ck country am I living in again??!!...and Maddow is exactly right that the Catholic Church didn’t care about this until the late 1800s...and I have to admit that I didn’t have “Tricky Dick supporting abortion for mixed race kids” on my Bingo card...



...and Emma Vigeland of The Majority Report lets us know that Baby Newton Leroy Gingrich and Sean Inanity recently had a toddler fit about women voting, referring to an ad from Julia Roberts that I have to admit that I didn’t see (even for the disgraced former speaker, the hypocrisy here is stunning for the reasons noted here)...



...and Farron Cousins lets us know that the Las Vegas Sun newspaper pretty much tore apart the Gropenfuhrer...and yeah, I think “cognitively crippled” says it pretty well (and based on this, I would say that even "the faithful" have had enough at long last)...



...and there's still more we can do if you're able, believe it or not (drive folks to the polls, remind friends and family to cast ballots, make phone calls)...I would ask that you keep that in mind while we watch the final clip during this election cycle from The Lincoln Project, featuring actors from the TV show "The West Wing"...

Mike Figueredo lets us know here that MAGA influencers are apparently freaking out over women exceeding men in early voting...and leave it to that nematode Jesse Watters to say that his wife voting for Harris is the same thing as if she had an affair; part of me wishes she would do both to fix his self-entitled ass...and please spare me the indignation of “Maniac Megyn” Kelly of all goddamn people; gee, maybe actually NOT TREATING WOMEN LIKE SH*T WHEN IT COMES TO ACTUAL GODDAMN POLICY is more important than the admittedly ridiculous and insulting posturing of a bunch of Trump bros who were too dumb to NOT utterly give away the game in front of thousands of people...a “celebration of Trump,” huh? I guess Kelly means a “celebration” of deceit, thievery, stupidity, malignant narcissism, treason and misogyny (NSFW/H)...

...and Chris Hayes provides new details of what would happen if, God forbid, Cantaloupe Capone manages to pull it off on Tuesday, including letting King Elon I cut spending for the peasants and RFK Jr. in charge of public health spending and administration...and yeah, I think the comparison to “a malevolent child romping around a nuclear plant” is pretty damn spot-on, unfortunately...

...and YouTuber @Xanderhal tells us that Our Ochre Abomination is suing my beloved Bucks County, saying they’re turning away voters...and yeah, it sounds to me like Our Treasonous Tiny Handed Orange Dumpster Fire thinks the “L” is coming, so he’s trying to gin up his lizard-brained followers into thinking that the fix is in...here’s a news flash for probably only Sweaty Bronzer Boy and absolutely no one else: 1) Long lines of voters is a GOOD thing because that means turnout is off the charts, which, again, traditionally has helped Dems, and 2) If voters are, in essence, deciding not to stand in line or unable to access on-demand mail ballots, HOW THE HELL DOES COMBOVER CALIGULA KNOW WHICH PARTY THOSE VOTERS BELONG TO?...and actually, I think the Trumpers won a case when they filed their beyond ridiculous legal challenges in ’20, and it had to do with discarding mail-in ballots with writing on the yellow privacy envelopes, but they indeed lost every other damn legal challenge...and yeah, I’d heard about the Amish voter fraud for real thing in Lancaster County also (NSFW/H)...



...and I should point out that, since voting districts were redrawn in our commonwealth of PA with 50 Percent Less Gerrymandering (or something like that), PA-08 became PA-01, but otherwise, this ad against Bri-Fi is pretty spot on (and to help Fitzpatrick’s Dem opponent Ashley Ehasz, click here)...

Lawrence O’Donnell gives us more great work discussing the media double standard of blowing off the “garbage man” Gropenfuhrer’s ridiculous and utterly childish behavior but coming down with a case of the vapors if President Biden says anything that could be remotely twisted into meaning something similar...and yeah, it looks like J.P. Mandel (I guess that’s what Couch Boy used to be called...more on him later) was the only candidate running for higher office to refer to the leader of Cult 45 as Hitler...surprised?...also not shocked unfortunately by the obscenity of another woman dying in Texas for the “crime” of needing abortion for a miscarriage...



Update 1: How apropos that Dementia J. Trump is unable to open a garbage truck door on the first try..but Biden was the only candidate with a motor skill deficit and cognitive issues...sure he was (here).

...and Robert Reich informs us that Mango Mussolini will try to exploit something called the “red mirage” when election returns start coming in next Tuesday; we have to be on guard not to fall for more of his typical BS...



...and on the subject of election nonsense, Farron Cousins lets us know that PA Repug committee person Valerie Biancanello in Delaware County was taken out in handcuffs for allegedly harassing people waiting in line to vote (more here)...



...and Leeja Miller tells us about a Mother Jones article linking “Couch Boy” J.D. Vance to these “TheoBros” in this country, led by some character named Doug Wilson, who want to “purify” the U.S. in accordance with their typically twisted vision, claiming that, if you oppose racism and want to be respectful of our country’s mistreatment of marginalized groups and work towards a more just and inclusive society, then you actually hate America...and of course, they want to utterly grind women under their heel...sick bastards, the lot of them...

Kyle Kulinski tells us that our allegedly dutiful corporate media mostly ignored the proposal from Kamala Harris that would expand Medicare to cover in-home health care for 15 million seniors...yep, par for the course all right – there are times when I definitely disagree with Kyle, but he’s spot-on here when it comes to our beyond-awful “fourth estate” refusing to cover policy, as opposed to their nonstop infatuation with the “horserace”...and I’ll have to add the term “narrative humpers” to my lexicon, I see (NSFW/H)...

...and David Shuster of Rebel HQ brings us this item about MAGA assclowns in Missouri getting busted for stealing Harris-Walz signs...and indeed, it is a felony to steal election campaign signs if the theft exceeds a dollar value, which in this case appears to be $200...I know that there are places in Bucks County, PA, for example, where there WERE Harris/Walz, Bob Casey and Ashley Ehasz signs that were taken and in some cases replaced (here), but unfortunately I don’t have enough information to try and bring charges against anybody...Shuster also discusses the revelations from John Kelly about A Certain Treasonous Orange Pestilence liking Hitler (a charge which, by the way, I have not heard a denial of from Cantaloupe Capone)...and I knew this Scott Jennings fool on CNN was bad, but man oh man, did he screw the metaphorical pooch with his response to Kelly...

Leeja Miller’s latest video reminds us that, yes for certain, Combover Caligula is a fascist...clip does a compare and contrast exercise in the matter of Former President Drumpf and a certain maniacal Austrian failed art student (wonder what would have happened if his old man had just let him paint postcards or something?)...important history on the rise of the Nazis in Germany, and yes, it isn’t hyperbole to say there are comparisons to what we’re facing at the moment, especially when Miller goes down her four-point checklist at the end...wonder if any of this stuff occurs to the life forms sticking up their beyond-obnoxious Trump/Vance signs everywhere? Probably not (and I’m glad to see that she worked in the Kochs, including Davey, who may be doing somersaults in hell at this moment...and kudos to Miller also for working in Project 2025), and as far as I'm concerned, that recent MSG hatefest was a nod to this...



...and in keeping with Miller’s video, Lawrence O’Donnell opines that reporters must ask Bronzer Beelzebub what good things Hitler did (more important history here on WWII, and I was also glad to hear about the Taft family endorsement of Sherrrod Brown for U.S. Senate; Brown is a great Dem and deserves all the support we can provide, along with PA’s Bob Casey)...

...and I guess I’m a little late with this, so apologies...David Doel discusses Tim Walz calling Elon Musk a dipshit, which is spot-on IMO...GREAT point about how ridiculous it is to, in essence, argue that we’re a “center-right” country politically when progressive policies poll so well...I honestly think Doel is overdoing it a bit with his criticism of the Harris campaign for allegedly moving to the center ideologically at the behest of some Biden folks working for her, but he does offer spirited support of economic policies from Harris/Walz, particularly regarding school lunches and raising our Dickensian federal minimum wage...



...and John Russell of More Perfect Union tells the story of fracking waste stored in an Ohio town by a company called Austin Master Services, and yeah, this goes back to fracking in “Frackalachia” (hadn’t heard that term before, but maybe I should have I’ll admit), and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources wasn’t much help here, until the folks at Martin’s Ferry dragged them kicking and screaming to make Austin Master Services clean up their mess, which should have happened before the parent company declared bankruptcy...you can chalk this up to corporate exploitation of the fact that people in this region and elsewhere need good paying jobs to survive in our end stage extraction economy, where every damn thing in the world is monetized, and you can also chalk it up to brave activism by the folks in Martin’s Ferry...

Thom Hartmann asks what will happen to the Repug Party if Combover Caligula loses (rest assured, however; this will be a fight to the end, and we have to keep giving it all we’ve got...I’ve been all over southeast PA, and if this campaign in PA were based solely on the sign proliferation, it would be close as hell...I saw a headline that Repugs in Montco got rid of “hundreds” of Harris/Walz signs, which is typically lowdown for that bunch)...Thom gives another important history lesson, this time on former SCOTUS Justice Lewis Powell and the beyond wretched Bellotti decision in 1978, which indeed pushed open the door for money to corrupt our politics, with that door being nearly blown off its metaphorical hinges by Citizens United...Thom also mentions the Anderson case, which has to do with Colorado’s attempt to exclude you-know-who from the presidential ballot because of his incitement to insurrection, citing Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, and the High Court of Hangin’ Judge JR made up more legal nonsense out of whole cloth again to argue that that state doesn't have the right to do that in the case of Bronzer Beelzebub...yeah, right...

Mike Figueredo of The Humanist Report gives us some polling results from some group called the Public Religion Research institute, in which we find that 47% of those polled want to round up undocumented immigrants and stick them into camps; I definitely hope and pray that that poll skews towards the wingnuts to begin with, or else we really are fried as a country...and if I were to come across someone from that 22 percent Democratic group that supposedly supports this madness, I would be sorely tempted to try and inflict bodily harm on this person...I mean, it’s wrong for Repugs and independents to feel that way of course, but I’m not totally surprised by those numbers, sadly...and Figueredo is right IMO about the supine acquiescence by Dems on this issue; when the “D” team didn’t bother to push back against the “sanctuary city” demagoguery by “No Corporate Tax” Pat Toomey among others, that was the beginning of the downward slide as far as yours truly is concerned...oh, and has it occurred to the individuals polled that such Gestapo-like tactics described here would be the tip of the metaphorical spear when it comes to trying to implement Project 2025? ...and as I contemplate what passes for the thought process displayed in the polling results in the prior clip, I cannot help but recall this moment from this great pic (and stage play) where similar fear and paranoia was also on display about 100 years ago...

Jean Carroll case, to say nothing of the fact that he got 3 SCOTUS justices confirmed who made the difference in killing Roe and stripping women of the ability to make their own health care decisions...and by the way, Kelly Preston died in 2020...and I apologize actually for spending so much time calling out this delusional maniac, meaning our former occupant of An Oval Office, but I believe it’s necessary)...



...well, at least Jim Acosta of CNN finally said enough of all of this garbage concerning Our Human Trash Fire polluting our discourse, and I’m sure Acosta was held to account for it by management from “the most trusted name in news,” as Farron Cousins discusses...and boy, is Cousins right to wonder why the hell that nonsense from Mango Mussolini wasn’t just outright ignored in the first place...

...and Jesse Dollemore tips us off a bit to a certain anonymous appearing strip mall in Wyoming, where the alleged “Swiss watches” being hawked by Our Treasonous Orange Pestilence are being manufactured, or so it seems...and a Russian link to some company selling a "honey boner" product?...Ye gods, as my dad used to say; the grift indeed never ends...

Farron Cousins tells us about “Cancun Cruz” begging for $$$, since he’s apparently getting outraised big time by Colin Allred and is having issues, let's say, according to an internal Repug poll...and by the way, Allred pretty much dog walked him in that recent debate...and oh yeah, Cruz goes on Sean Inanity’s program on that alleged “news” channel to grovel for dough, which, as Cousins says, is likely illegal...maybe the FCC can do something about it? ...and this clip is a couple of days old I know, but I definitely think it’s important to keep in mind...Rachel Maddow tells us about considering a vote for Mango Mussolini and “business decisions”...yeah, if you’re serious about that and you’re trying to decide who to vote for, it’s pretty much a slam dunk for Kamala Harris as far as yours truly is concerned (unless of course “business decisions” is code for “OMIGOD I CAN’T IMAGINE VOTING FOR A BLACK WOMAN FOR PRESIDENT!!”...and when it comes to how good Our Sweaty Orange Bronzer Boy supposedly is for business, allow me to present this)...



...and Miss Beau gives us her analysis of Kamala Harris’s interview with Bret Baier, the “news person” on Fix Noise...a little surprised to hear her say that she doesn’t think the country is on the right track, unless she just misspoke (or unless she thinks Harris should be more progressive, which is fine with me)...



...and Desi Lydic and Grace Coolidge of The Daily Show give us a little more perspective on the Harris/Baier thing, as well as those absolutely priceless reactions from the Univision audience in response to the particularly stoo-pid lies from the Gropenfuhrer about the January 6th insurection...

I agree with the observation that he caught himself from saying what he really wanted to say...and mentioning Eric Adams? Yep, more sympathy for actual or accused criminals, which isn’t surprising...more disgusting nonsense is here)...



...and I thought I’d let Tennessee Brando have the last word on the election for now, which will soon be upon us (when it comes to in-person voting...mail-in voting is well underway)...he focuses on the decline of our twice-impeached former *president, with our supposedly august corporate media FINALLY paying attention...yeah, Combover Caligula apparently just stood there dancing for 30-40 minutes at one of these rallies? Un-freaking-believable, even for him! And yeah, Oaks, PA is on the edge of Montgomery County on the way to Pennsyltucky, so I’m not surprised that some of our lower life forms gathered at that location to pledge fealty to Dear Leader...and once more, for the record, Biden stepping down was the right move – I think he genuinely has a health issue – but I will NEVER forgive our alleged media geniuses and the pundit class overall (to say nothing of cowardly Dem politicians) who basically shoved him aside over a single bad debate performance (and some food for thought IMO on that is here)...



...and on this day in 1979, The Buggles hit #1 in the UK with this tune (which was also the first video on that brand new cable channel called MTV, which led the way into all kinds of ‘80s weirdness as far as yours truly is concerned, along with other legitimately terrific stuff...actually, the Wikipedia article has the tune hitting the top UK spot the week of 10/20 - close enough for me).

Jesse Dollemore brings us the latest on Mango Mussolini threatening to sic the military on his political opponents in an interview with that shrieking harpie Maria Bartiromo, who engages in some typically disgusting demagoguery on her own to set up Bronzer Beelzebub for his “slam dunk” (and Bartiromo is too far gone to care about the clear and present danger posed by Our Ochre Abomination of course)...and even with Biden’s admitted diminished capacity, I would LOVE to watch Cantaloupe Capone try to go bike riding with “No Malarkey Joe,” assuming Our Treasonous Orange Man-Baby could keep his bulbous butt on the seat without sliding off (mildly NSFW/H)...



...and David Shuster tells us about Jessica Tarlov continuing to dish out some reality to those hyenas on “The Five” in the matter of President Biden supposedly not providing relief to states hit by Hurricanes Helene and Milton...I didn’t know that about the Gropenfuhrer just about totally denying relief funds to Roy Cooper of North Carolina, but that sure fits the profile...and “Tampon Tim”? Coming from “Diaper Boy”? Truly, it is to laugh (at Our Treasonous Orange Pustule, I mean)...



...and don’t look now, but Combover Caligula recently stranded individuals who decided to attend a recent Bund rally at Coachella in California, as Ben Meiselas of The Midas Touch Network tells us...and by the way, I’m waaay past the point of actually feeling sorry for these Trumpist life forms who get stranded after #45’s ridiculous hate-filled rallies of his...yeah, blame the mayor of Coachella; that’ll work (and kudos to actor Bryan Cranston for standing up)...



...and this “60 Minutes” segment profiles Al Schmidt, who is the current Secretary for the Commonwealth of PA. regarding the question of how secure voting is in PA (spoiler alert...EVERYTHING IS FREAKING FINE!!!)...I don’t know who this reporter is, but I think either her or her producer dropped the ball on this story; she didn’t even mention Act 77, which reformed mail-in voting in PA (more here) – Repugs supported it because they wanted to get rid of straight-ticket voting, and Dems agreed to that because it expanded mail-in voting...and by the way, Dems are trying to advance a bill in Harrisburg to allow for counting mail-in ballots prior to election day (here), but it probably won’t go anywhere because PA Repugs want their bogus voter ID requirements to be enshrined in PA law (and once again, voter ID is a “solution” in search of a problem... in case you think there ISN’T a purely political motivation behind voter ID in our beloved commonwealth, I would ask that you read this)...



...and RIP Lilly Ledbetter, whose fight for equal pay for equal work led to the paycheck fairness law that bears her name...

...and I have to admit that I went back and forth on this next item a bit, but I decided to include it, and please allow me to “go meta” again with this explanation (hope it’s not too boring).

When I started doing this forever ago, it wasn’t to show the world how allegedly brilliant my prose is. It was (then as now) to promote informed dialogue. If I thought that I could add some explanation to clear up any possible misunderstanding about an issue, I thought I had a right to add it, and I still feel that way. And one of those issues has to do (a bit tangentially I guess) with the incident pictured above, which took place on this day in 1968 (and which led to this idiocy from Brent Musberger, and as far as I know, Musberger has never apologized for it).

To me, there is a direct line between the 1968 Olympic protest of John Carlos and Tommie Smith and that of Colin Kaepernick, taking a knee during the anthem as he did because of police violence which overwhelmingly impacts African Americans (and no, he wasn’t disrespecting our military). The latest example of this is this madness around the police stop of Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins (and not for nothing, but if anyone thinks the NFL didn’t collude to keep out Kaepernick for his protest, then you must live in a magical land of cotton candy, elves and unicorns; I’ve seen so much mediocrity in the allegedly wonderful NFL that I find it impossible to believe that Kaepernick could not have gotten a job as a backup quarterback AT LEAST for SOMEBODY).

(By the way, if you want, you can consider this a bit of a “make up” for the fact that I pretty much ignore Black History Month in February, largely because I think people of all nationalities, ethnicities and gender preferences should be celebrated all the freaking time and not just for a single month. And no, I'm also not saying you have the right to argue with cops when they tell you to do something...I'm just looking for good judgment and common sense on the part of everyone.)

Feel free to disagree of course, on this item as well as anything else (which comes with the territory when you put your opinion out there like this I know), but I think this needed to be said (and I think this tune fits for this topic also).

Emma Vigeland of The Majority Report tells us about Bronzer Beelzebub calling into the program of the also-thoroughly-odious Hugh Hewitt, with 45 slobbering over potential new real estate in Gaza...yeah, let’s just build skyscrapers on top of the bodies of dead Palestinians, including kids – what a plan!...and you can indeed argue that the ongoing genocide in that region is built on the model we used against the Native Americans, and other countries used against other indigenous populations, to be fair.

(And by the way, please allow me to articulate the following once more...yes, we should do all we can to bring home any hostages from Hamas’s beyond-cowardly 10/7/23 attacks that can still be rescued and provide a decent burial for those who have perished, and the vile Hamas cretins responsible should be brought to justice and tried in an international court...and THEN we need to step up and lead talks with EVERYONE in the region including Palestinians – spare me this “Abraham Accords” business! – about ending those damn West Bank settlements, rebuilding Gaza and sharing land between Israel and the Palestinians in as non-punitive a way as possible for all sides. Oh, and I wouldn’t mind seeing “Bibi” facing charges of crimes against humanity either.)

...and in response to the Gropenfuhrer’s disparaging comments about Detroit, the Harris/Walz campaign released the following ad, which is spot-on (as usual for the campaign...and yeah, I know I’m biased a bit...and by the way, the MLB club ended up doing pretty well this year also)...



...and playing off that, Tim Walz brings some of his typical energy to these remarks about manufacturing jobs lost under Cantaloupe Capone (and oh yeah, ask the Carrier employees in Indiana about how well 45 “protected their jobs”...he actually did for some, but most of the jobs went offshore, and the remaining employees had to work 8-10 hours a day, 7 days a week...here)...



...and most of our corporate media is definitely waaay too goddamn slow when it comes to “getting the memo” about Our Ochre Abomination, but not Chris Hayes, quite rightly calling what’s taking place a “slow motion insurrection”...yeah, Couch Boy has made it pretty clear that he’ll do the bidding of The Gropenfuhrer without question, as he does in that New York Times interview...also, it seems that 97 election-related lawsuits have been filed by #45 and his allies, to “seed the ground” (as Hayes aptly puts it) to challenge the upcoming vote...Hayes speaks with USC law professor Franita Tolson along with Ian Bassin of the group Protect Democracy, and I know the Stephanopoulos segment with “MAGA Mike” Johnson is a repeat, but I think it’s still timely...and boy, is Bassin ever right to call out our “fourth estate” when it comes to the danger posed by Our Demented Orange Toddler...



...and when it comes to journalists who didn’t put up with any BS (as opposed to the individuals now who make “access” to newsmakers their highest priority as opposed to educating and informing their audience...and gee, who might I be referring to? It’s on the tip of my tongue), a true role model as far as yours truly is concerned was Donald Barlett, who just left us (one example is here)...I thought this clip contained some interesting insights into the New York Times (which isn’t surprising as far as I’m concerned) and the issues that corporate America wants reporters to cover and which ones it wants reporters to leave alone...by the way, the Center for Immigration Studies is a wingnut outfit; I have to admit that I’m surprised that they produced this clip...



...and I don’t see any local area stops for this band on their tour schedule (unless they dropped by already), but if I find one or more, I’ll update that here...like the sound of this newer tune.

Monday Stuff

Jesse Dollemore discusses the latest demented musings from Our Ochre Abomination, which leads into a discussion about Bronzer Beelzebub’s utter fumbling of the COVID outbreak, as long as #45 decided that he would make jokes about the Biden circles (which, as Jesse explains, were something Biden instituted because he gave a damn about keeping people safe during a global pandemic, unlike Our Treasonous Low Energy Orange Man-Baby)...



...and as long as we’re mentioning COVID, I think it’s apropos to bring back this clip from nearly four and a half years ago...



...and apologies for being a week late with this clip of George Stephanopoulos questioning “MAGA Mike” Johnson on whether or not Trump lost the presidential election four years ago, and of course Johnson (who led the U.S. House effort to undermine the vote in 2020 for his boss as noted here) refuses to answer the question, as David Shuster tells us...and gee, Uday Jr., don’t you mean the “Democrat Party”? Or, as Joe McCarthy once said, “always emphasize the ‘rat’”? (removing my tongue from my cheek)...



...and Brian Tyler Cohen (speaking with attorney Marc Elias) tells us that it looks like the SCOTUS has shown a sliver of a conscience by denying a suit by PA Repugs on behalf of the bogus Independent State Legislature theory (more here)...if God forbid that were ever enacted, it would lead to unregulated gerrymandering and election subversion...and I cannot possible see how this WOULDN’T lead to MAGA mania in the majority of our state legislatures, any of them run by Repugs anyway...



...and I now give you the latest installment of “This Day In Doomsy History” from 10/14/19...I believe it was Crooks and Liars who unearthed this clip back then from the 1961 movie “Judgement at Nuremberg” based on the Nazi trials after World War II, with Burt Lancaster as Ernst Janning, one of the 4 judges on trial – in case anybody wonders where MAGA mania would take this country if unchecked, I think this gives you a pretty gut-churning indication (or something hideously like it anyway)...



...and today marks the 30th anniversary of the U.S. release of "Pulp Fiction," with this number kicking off the opening credits.

John and Francesca of the Damage Report bring us this nonsense with Jesse Watters and some Trumpist lackey (Jason Miller I think) telling us that they believe that there’s something up with Dem VP candidate Tim Walz, and that is superimposed with this utterly cringe video of Xitter King Elon pretty much acting like a cranked-out fool at another one of these hate-filled rallies for Our Treasonous Orange Pestilence...I think “unsalvageably uncool” is pretty on the mark...



...and Jesse Dollemore lets us know that Gen. Mark Milley warned Bob Woodward that Bronzer Beelzebub is the “most dangerous person to this country,” also reported in the previously mentioned upcoming book by Woodward (and again, I guess we have to wait until books are written for these revelations instead of reporting them in real time)...and as far as I’m concerned, this clip provides yet more evidence that Merrick Garland is totally overmatched by the job of Attorney General (NSFW/H)...

...and don’t look now, but guv Ron #DeathSantis of Flori-DUUH! is threatening not to air an ad for that state’s pro-choice ballot measure, with the FCC reminding that gubernatorial asshat that, no, you can’t act like a tin pot dictator in this country without repercussions...



...oh, and here's a reminder that our wet noodle PA-01 U.S. House rep wants to deny women their bodily autonomy also...
