Thursday Stuff

Rachel Maddow tells us about what likely will be the upcoming special election in Montana to replace Repug U.S. House Rep Ryan Zinke, likely to sign up with President Tiny-Handed Egomaniac (if Montana is turning purple, as it were – and kudos to them if so – then I would definitely call that a bellwether for “red” places elsewhere – and OF COURSE the Repugs don’t want people to vote, even if members of THEIR OWN PARTY had the foresight to call for statewide balloting by mail)…

...and I thought this was a typically sound analysis by K.O. of Generalissimo Trump's attack on the press (and hey, "Bri-Fi" and "No Corporate Tax" Pat Toomey, do YOU agree also?)...

…and I thought this was an appropriate comparison between the first 30 days of Number 45 vs. Number 44 – almost too painful to watch; heckuva job, all of you numbskulls who helped to create this misery…

...and as I said last year, the Brits aren't shy at all when it comes to their disdain for President Big Orange Cheetoh (interesting theory by Ben Mankiewicz about TV making us stupider, ultimately leading to President Fergus Laing - could be right)...

…and RIP Alan Colmes (here) – there were times when he was sporadically on the money as nearly as I could tell (such as in this clip), which is better than a lot of other commentators out there…we need all the informed voices on our side that we can get…condolences to family and friends…

…and I feel like changing things up a bit here, and I think the recent 80th birthday of jazz singer Nancy Wilson on Monday gives me a chance to do that (as opposed to Nancy Wilson of Heart, also great)…except for “Thin Line Between Love and Hate,” possibly the greatest “YOU’RE BUSTED!” song of all time.

Update: Apparently, “Bri-Fi,” the brother of our previous wet noodle U.S. House rep, decided to have a “tele” town hall tonight on the “opioid epidemic,” courageously taking the “anti-opioid epidemic” stand (and yes, I know this is serious stuff…my point is that trying to wrap himself up in a “safe” issue like this and brooking absolutely no dissent or opinion on another topic is typical of the garbage pulled by his brother).

Well, tomorrow at 2PM, there will be a rally at Fitzpatrick’s Langhorne, PA office on behalf of the Affordable Care Law, trying to communicate peacefully yet forcefully to our PA-08 rep that health care is a human right (and please bring any and all signs you may have to try and get this message across). This will also be a rally to oppose any cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid (and who knows if “Bri-Fi” will actually show up).

The address of the Langhorne office is as follows:

Brian Fitzpatrick’s Office
1717 Langhorne-Newtown Rd.
Suite 400
Langhorne, PA 19047
