I was actually feeling a tinge of regret for my "American Reich" post on July 4th, until I read the Letters section of this morning's Inquirer and saw the screeds from E.J. Messersmith and chronic repeat intellectual offender Anthony P. Schiavo. They ended up making my case better than I could actually have made it myself.
