Brian Tyler Cohen tells us that Pam (“The Dow Is At 50K!”) Bondi just got the heave-ho as Attorney General; this is low-hanging fruit I’ll admit, but this regime really should learn about using grammar and capitalization correctly...yeah, I know, as if they’ll care (and “murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900”? I’m reminded once more that there are white lies, kind of in-between lies, big lies, and Trumpian lies which are truly Olympian in scope)...I almost feel sorry for her, begging Our Treasonous Orange Pustule not to give her the boot...almost...and it looks like what did her in was actually trying to do a decent thing involving an investigation into Dem U.S. House Rep Eric Swalwell’s alleged relationship with a Chinese spy, notifying Swalwell about it (I think the irony of that speaks for itself...I'm pretty sure Swalwell denied that, though)...and yep, the AG protecting a pedo will indeed be her legacy...and I’m sorry, but I don’t have any faith that Hakeem Jeffires will follow through on holding Bondi to account on her perjured testimony...I could do without the Marjorie Train Wreck Greene clip because I still think she’s chasing clout and that’s about it, but I suppose she might as well be heard from also...”a woman scorned” and all that (NSFW/H)...



...and Belle of the Ranch gives us her insight into #47 apparently still not having a plan for the Iran war, based on whatever-that-supposed-address-was to the nation...I would take Belle’s word that some of the military objectives may have been accomplished, but I seem to recall similar hubris from a prior Repug administration over the initial weeks after Iraq War 2.0, and we know how that ended up (not criticizing Belle, I wish to emphasize)...good point to wonder just how enormous a mess you have created for your chief adversarial nation to come in and clean it up for you...”(Trump) is playing games while lives hang in the balance” indeed...



...and Jesse Dollemore informs us of another pinheaded moment from a blonde in Bronzer Beelzebub’s administration, and that would be the flippant response of Trumpette spokes-liar Karoline Leavitt on the question of war crimes that may have been committed by this regime...OK, so, as Jesse says, now we’re just straight-up murdering people we don’t like, and this disgusting little harpie appears to be proud of that (heckuva job, all you numbskulls who made sure we were inflicted with this in November of ’24)...and I’m sure I’m going to be pointing out for-ev-ah that we had a nuke treaty under Obama that Spray-Tan Satan abandoned, just like he did with the Murphy-Lankford immigration bill in the Senate...great point by Jesse that Mango Mussolini has never faced accountability for a damn thing, so OF COURSE he’s going to be emboldened...and leave to Leavitt to dish out word salad in response to the excellent question from NBC reporter Garrett Haake about targeting Iranian civilian infrastructure (NSFW/H also)...



...and turning to domestic political matters, Sam Seder of The Majority Report talks with David Bier, director of immigration studies at The Cato Institute (hmmm...) about “Kavanaugh stops”...ICE was initially caught red handed doing racial profiling as Bier says, and an injunction cut the profiling of Hispanics by about two-thirds (around LA I believe)...DHS goes to an appellate court which also rules against them, so they then appeal to the SCOTUS that grants an emergency order overturning the injunction, with “I Like Beer” Brett defending DHS (I definitely wouldn’t say that Kavanaugh had “courage,” but again, this Bier guy is from Cato, so I’m not surprised to hear him put it that way)...Kavanaugh called these “stops,” and said they weren’t a big deal, like a cop casing a bank or something (nice...hence the “Kavanaugh stops” term)...not surprised to hear that cops in Texas and Flori-DUUH are being trained to do this garbage...Bier makes a good point that it looks like the 2.0 version of this ICE Gestapo madness is going to be more “diffuse” and maybe a bit lower profile than what we’ve seen so far, but don’t expect anything to change in terms of policy...Sam also is correctly sadly about Apartheid Clyde, David Ellison, and other wingnuts with waaay too much damn money throttling all kinds of clips on social media that could hold these ICE cretins up to the scrutiny they deserve...also shocked to hear Cato defending social media in court; credit to them for that...



...and turning again to overseas news, MS NOW’s David Noreiga speaks with Chris Hayes about the ongoing violence from Israeli settlers against Palestinians on the West Bank, which ramped up after the October 7th terrorist attack and also accelerated with the beginning of the U.S. - Israel war vs. Iran (with Noriega having to flee an area of Palestinian land that the settlers and the IDF have basically taken over)...Noriega discusses the case of Seifullah Musallet, an American citizen and Palestinian beaten to death by Israelis (under the regime of the Tangerine Toddler, apparently, American citizens abroad don’t have any rights, especially in land contested by Israel...I guess this shouldn’t be surprising, but I think it still needs to be pointed out)...



...and with the prior story in mind a bit, this video from DRM News (not familiar much with them) tells us about a recent “barefoot march for peace” in Rome streets by Israeli and Palestinian mothers (if more women ruled, it certainly wouldn’t be perfect, but I firmly believe that most of the crap going on now wouldn’t be taking place)...



...and turning to something wholly other, Lewis Black of The Daily Show brings us up to date on the online gambling business, where it appears that you can bet on literally anything...I don’t know what the over-under is for the number of sarcastic nicknames I intend to use for our current president in this post, but I have every intention of “beating the spread” when mentioning Cheetoh Hitler (and yeah, I know Black makes a “Jesus joke” that kind of goes splat, and the timing for that is particularly bad given today especially, but it’s Lewis Black, so I’ll cut him some slack...that’s my ruling on that and I’m sticking with it – NSFW/H of course)...



...and tomorrow marks what would have been the 58th anniversary of this tragedy (and as I said last year, Our Sweaty Orange Bronzer Boy will likely say this is “DEI” and try to erase it from the history books, so we need to make sure it’s “front of mind” for everybody).
