Friday Stuff

The lady interviewed in this story about the antics of the Bundy morons in Oregon articulated my opinion perfectly (here and here) – if the names of the Bundy goons had been Ahmed, Shaquille or Pedro, they probably would have been shot dead on the spot…

…and put up or shut up, Comey, you hack – enough of this bullshit…

Update 10/29/16: GMAFB! (here also)

…and in consideration of the recent 15th anniversary of The Patriot Act, I give you what I consider to be some well-constructed thoughts on the subject from a formerly somewhat obscure Democratic senator from Illinois (more here)…

…and Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich tells us here that the magic number for the Dems in the U.S. Senate is 5 (and I think it’s about 30 in the U.S. House)…

…and while the wingnuts will lose what’s left of their minds over the latest increases affecting plans offered through the Affordable Care LAW, to me, the takeaway is this: If you’re in a state where an insurer bails, you may very well get clobbered – if not, you’ll be comparatively OK (here)…

…and it's time once more for another installment of "This Day In Doomsy History" from 10/30/2010…and somehow I think that, if you’re watching this, you remember too (this message, sadly, fell on too many deaf ears that year – let’s fix that mistake for good on November 8th this time around)...

…and if you’re a woman somehow still supporting “Fergus Laing,” then you must truly be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome (and yeah, that last anecdote is equal parts galling and sickening - though the idiocy of the opening ad against Steve S. deserves a dishonorable mention too)……

...and if we're getting close to Halloween (and we are), then that means it's time again for this tune.

Thursday Stuff

Rachel Maddow tells us how “Donald Drumpf” and his goons are endangering the GOP over their vote-rigging BS (and by the way, why only an 8-year extension, Dems? How about another 35 years?...oh, and if you want to learn just how insidious a character Ben Ginsberg is, do a little Googling about the Florida stuff in the 2000 presidential election - this too)

…and anyone who refuses to accept the argument that the Repugs are pros when it comes to depressing voter turnout in their favor is a liar or an idiot, or both (and by the way, as I pointed out last night, PA doesn't have early voting, unless Chris Hayes is talking about absentee ballots)…

…oh, and by the way, my biggest issue with “Bri-Fi” is that’s he’s grossly unqualified for the job as opposed to the Dem nominee to replace Brian’s brother in PA-08 (and of course, I would hardly call Mikey a “moderate” anyway – to help Steve Santarsiero, click here – more here)…

…and this is a highly NSFW clip, but boy, does this stuff need to be said (here)…

…as does this about the quite-correctly-described “normalization” of violence from the supporters of “Donald Drumpf”…

…and how about it if we try to have a little fun? It is almost Halloween, after all.

Wednesday Stuff

via GIPHY

…as Number 44 reminds us here (and of course, there is no early voting in our beloved commonwealth – sigh...though you can vote by absentee ballot up to 11/4)…

…and we should vote if for no other reason than to make sure that we don’t get stuck with this guy (and his pals), as K.O. reminds us below (and what does THIS tell you?)…

…and one of those pals of course is “No Corporate Tax” Pat Toomey (R-Elevator), who apparently will be aided by this obscenity; to help Toomey’s opponent Katie McGinty, click here

…and I’ve really tried to be careful with videos from RT especially now since, as far as I’m concerned, it should be called the Putin Network, but I have to admit that “The Resident” has more than a bit of a point here (re: wide discrepancy across These United States when it comes to felons and former felons and voting rights)…

…and it looks like even men now are starting to say enough of “Donald Drumpf,” as David Pakman tells us…

…and I should probably start working some songs for Halloween into the mix, and I think this tune qualifies.

Tuesday Stuff

Uh, yep (here)...

…and Alex Witt talks to Harry Enten of Five Thirty Eight about Dem prospects for re-taking the Senate (the whole “shy voter” thing sounds like another idiotic corporate media meme to try and benefit Republicans and keep the “horserace” going, as noted in the Media Matters clip)…

…and Samantha Bee “brings it” as only she can when it comes to the third and final debate between HRC and The Big Orange Cheetoh (here)…

...and awww, it looks like widdle "Bri-Fi" haz a sad over being linked to "Donald Drumpf" in TV ads (here and here) - cry me a freaking river (to do something about it, click here – and as far as Steve goes, I call this an example of constituent service…makes me recall this recent video)...

…and RIP Tom Hayden (more here)…

…and I think the following tune about this event is appropriate for the occasion.

Monday Stuff

(Hat tip to Kriston Capps and John Fugelsang on Twitter for the pic, which speaks volumes as far as I'm concerned)

It looks like the outpatients were out in force in Newtown, Pa last Friday night (here - I have to tell you that I was driving all over Wrightstown, Lahaska and Buckingham in Bucks County, PA on Saturday, and I saw a hell of a lot of YUUGE boards for all of these characters, including the Repug presidential nominee…also, maybe when this is all over, I’ll tell you about the political obscenity I heard on this from the pulpit too…pitiful)…

…all amplified by Kyle Kulinski here also (NSFW)…

Update: Can I be added to #TheList? CANICANICANIHUH? Pretty please (here)?

…and if this is part of HRC’s closing argument, it’s really a punch in the gut, which is totally deserved as far as I’m concerned (also, though I’m sure she’ll flip back to hating us when the election is over, right now Ana Navarro is kicking butt – good for her too)…

…and not a hell of a lot to “imagine” under the utterly ruinous prospects of “Fergus Laing” in An Oval Office, as K.O. points out…

…and with “Donald Drumpf” getting all the well-deserved bad press, let’s not forget about Chucky and Davey Koch too (here)…

…and given the political time of year, I guess this song could work on a couple of different levels.
