We’re almost getting to the payoff for all of this insanity (with practically all of it from the other side), as Morgan Freeman reminds us - more here…
…and as noted in this clip, “Fergus Laing” and "No Corporate Tax" Pat Toomey (R-Elevator) are like two peas in a truly awful pod (to help Katie McGinty, Toomey’s opponent, click here)…
…and yes, for the eleventy bazillionth time, Steve’s gun bill was never brought for a vote by those life forms in Harrisburg, but kudos to him for trying; to help send Steve to the U.S. Congress in a few weeks (where he and people like him are DESPERATELY needed), click here (graphic above was inserted because, after the most recent debate, Brian Fitzpatrick, Mikey’s brother and Steve’s opponent, made a bee line for the door)…
…and there were a few milestones last week, but I missed one – happy 75th birthday to Paul Simon.

Friday Stuff
Chris Hayes talks to Marybeth Glenn, who, commendably, ended her relationship with the “party of Lincoln” over the latest antics from “Donald Drumpf” and the alleged Republican “leadership,” including that fool Ben Carson, who apparently still needs to ingest a fistful of Valium and take a long nap somewhere; Glenn is, of course, hardly a Dem, which to me make her actions all the more notable…
…and Farron Cousins of Ring of Fire tells us about the importance of early voting (and three guesses why the Repugs hate it so much – the first two don’t count)…
…and Lawrence O'Donnell talks once more with Khizr Khan, whose son made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and Josh Manning, in response to last Sunday's idiocy from you-know-who, which, given the sex stuff, seems like a month ago now (powerful stuff - all you need to do is look at Mr. Khan's face as Manning recounts what happened; more meaningful than the words, though the words must never be forgotten either)...
…and Repug U.S. House Rep Trent Franks engages in a particularly stoo-pid attempt at deflecting the latest Trump garbage, as Kyle tells us (NSFW – but sorry, I don’t see an equivalency to HRC & Syria here)…
…and it sounds like Number 44 has no more sh*ts to give, fortunately for us all, here (and by the way, he’s absolutely right, something to keep in mind while trying to contemplate the awfulness of this pic from earlier today in Florida of course – where else can you get that vintage Bushco “Sore Loserman” T-shirt from 2000?)…
Update: I swear, I could actually feel some of my brain cells dying as I read this.
Update 10/15/16: I would only offer this in response to the assh*les in the prior linked story.
…and K.O. tries to more or less diagram the insanity of the Repug presidential nominee…
…and I’ve had this clip from the landmark film “Judgment at Nuremberg” in mind for a little while now – kudos to C&L for resurrecting it (here); I realize the context will be completely lost on the followers of “Fergus Laing,” but it no doubt will give a chill to the rest of us…
…and happy 70th birthday to Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues, singing as true a song as can ever be performed.

Thursday Stuff
Welcome to a truly sickening glimpse of Donald J. Trump’s America, my fellow prisoners…
This montage of Trump yearning for the "good ole' days" in @AVAETC's searing documentary "13th" is just devastating: pic.twitter.com/KtpJzbg4UN

…to say nothing of the fact that the guy is a perv, as we all know at this point…
…and with that in mind, and strange as it may sound, The Big Orange Cheetoh was actually a little persuasive here in his argument about the latest charges against him…right up until the very end with his “look at her” comment; it’s a moment of surreal awfulness in a political campaign when one of the candidates is trying to rely on an argument to vindicate himself that sounds like it was vetted by Bill Cosby (or, more likely, this guy), as well as a the fact that the trail of ooze from “Donald Drumpf” over this stuff is so thick now that it pretty much obscures all of the other things he’s done woefully wrong in this campaign, and that’s saying something…

…and in response, I have only the following to say to this: Nail. Hammer. Head…
…and were it not for the Trump implosion, this might be making more headlines than it already is – a reminder follows…
…and how does it feeeeel – to be a Nobel Prize winner (here)? Congrats.

Wednesday Stuff
If the Arkansas bridge discussed in this report from Rachel Maddow isn’t the most apt metaphor for the campaign of “Donald Drumpf,” I don’t know what is (and by the way, I'm going to forego the "NSFW" label for anything related to Trump from now on, since he's lowered his campaign to the gutter better than I ever could)…
…and don’t blink or you’ll miss this great moment from Jake Tapper (here – more is here)…
…and Samantha Bee provides her own “vagina monologue” in light of the recent disgusting behavior from you-know-who (here)…
…and K.O. tries to narrow down the 30 most ridiculous remarks from “Fergus Laing” in the debates alone…
…and with all of the Trump-related insanity going on, I hate to admit that some videos I meant to include have been crowded out, including this one – too important to forget, though…
…and as noted here, yesterday was the 30th anniversary of the ultimately failed nuclear arms reduction talks in Reykjavik, Iceland between Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and The Sainted Ronnie R, all because Number 40 didn’t want to give up on “Star Wars,” which will only be a movie franchise and nothing more – here is a tune to commemorate this missed opportunity.

Tuesday Stuff
(Hat tip to Kriston Capps and John Fugelsang on Twitter for the pic, which speaks volumes as far as I'm concerned)
Oh, and by the way, Dana, I don’t think what “The Donald” said was “flip.” Treasonous, yes – flip, no (and I don’t know who the hell snickered when Trump’s “jail” comment was pointed out, but that person should be slapped…I know Keith Olbermann already weighed in on this, but I need we need to look at this again and again)…
…and speaking of K.O…
…and Bill Maher recently weighed in on Trump voters (NSFW – at the end)…
…oh, and for all of those willing to blow off the cruelty of The Big Orange Cheetoh (maybe still a couple), I’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Kohn here…
…and Robert Kearney here (thank you for your service)…
…and happy belated 70th birthday to John Prine, with a song for all of the supporters of “Fergus Laing” (and GWB too at the end).

We thought we had seen it all. But now @realDonaldTrump is promising to imprison political opponents. #debate pic.twitter.com/4dXdWG3diH

Monday Stuff
(By the way, I thought this was a particularly timely selection from my desk calendar.)
(Also, I posted a reminder here.)
I realize that I’m not posting Keith Olbermann’s great GQ commentaries in order, but his most recent one needs to “leapfrog” over the others for reasons that should be obvious by now…
...also, I give you still more outrageous moments from last night ("Donald Drumpf" gave a performance his lizard-brained followers will love, though from what I read, it didn't register at all with independent voters, nor should it of course)...
…and as others have pointed out already, this isn’t “locker room” talk, this is “sexual predator” talk…
...and John Oliver weighed in on the most recent Trump insanity here (NSFW)...
…and normally I wouldn’t waste anyone’s time on that mental patient Alex Jones, but I think it’s actually instructive to see just how closely aligned he is with the Republican Party nominee for president (as Kyle K. explains…NSFW also – more here...actually, EVERYTHING with Trump any more is NSFW)…
…and I’m not sure anyone can help The Big Orange Cheetoh at this point – can hardly wait to find out just how badly he crashes and burns (and who he takes with him) in about four weeks.
