Friday Stuff


Kudos to Cenk Uygur and TYT Investigates for telling us whether or not tax cuts created jobs for UPS and FedEx…I think you know the answer (Stephen Moore is a thoroughly irredeemable cretin)…



…and as Rachel Maddow explains, the Trumpsters really can’t get much of anything right (well, at least not something presented in the cold light of day - and yeah, the JFK stuff was particularly creepy)…



…and Generalissimo Trump “loves veterans,” huh?...


…and with the prior clip in mind, David Pakman tells us about Fix Noise interviewing an alleged Navy SEAL supporting Trump (a vet apparently, but not what he claims to be – at least he owed up to it)…

I offer the following with as little explanation as possible – gut-churning enough as it is (and I guess part of the “winning” is to pass a tax bill that totally screws over the middle class by removing state and local tax deductions, as noted here – not my habit to link to The Daily Tucker, but as noted here, “Bri-Fi” commendably voted No…whichever Dem runs against him next year, assuming Fitzpatrick survives a likely primary challenge, will have a tough time…


…and I guess part of the “winning” is to go after U.S. Senators of your own party – oh, OK (misspelled “Tennessee” of course…”America is moving forward just like Thelma and Louise”…scary that it’s so true)...



…and ah, smell the freedom – oh, but Sen. Elizabeth Warren is a “Corporate Dem,” according to that idiot Jimmy Dore…



…oh, and speaking of which, kudos to Sam Seder for this – very NSFW, but totally deserved…I can’t quite figure out if the caller is just a concern troll or is actually in earnest here…



…and now, for a bit of news that’s actually good amidst all of the insanity – kudos to Elon Musk and Tesla for this…


…and last night, as a tribute to Fats Domino, I featured his cover of a tune by other artists (in this case, The Beatles) – I think it’s a good idea to include the following cover of a Fats Domino tune as a bit of a response.

Oh yes, please tell me once again how supposedly principled Jeff Flake, Bob Corker and John McCain are – they voted to strike down the rule that lets us sue banks and credit card companies, invalidating arbitration in essence (the vote was 51-50, with Huckleberry Graham and John N. Kennedy of Louisiana joining all of the Senate Dems in opposition, and that ghoul Mike Pence was summoned to cast the vote to kill the rule)…



…and call me crazy, but when you pay somebody (or bodies) about $430 grand to “lawyer up,” I think there’s a “there” there, you might say, right comrade? And videos exist, apparently? Ugh...



…and Seth Meyers tells us more on Robert and Rebekah Mercer, two of the crazed members of the “one percent” bankrolling Meth Lab Bannon and the Gropenfuhrer (more here)…



…and I know that, with all of the other outrages going on, we shouldn’t lose sight of the issue of common sense gun reforms, which will be blocked by numbskulls like this guy in Georgia…


…and yeah, the “Trumpsters” really do want to kill us, people...

Tuesday Stuff


I think the predecessor to the wretched life form currently taking up space in An Oval Office gave us a pretty good example of what kind of a tribute should be paid to our courageous service people who have paid the ultimate price (to say nothing of what their families and friends are enduring, as noted here – the toon above came from the Times of London today I believe)…


…and with all of the infamy from our ruling cabal in mind concerning the deaths of our Marines in Niger, I would say that all of K.O.’s outrage aimed at Generalissimo Trump, former Gen. John Kelly and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, among others, is totally deserved, and then some (mildly NSFW)…



…and it looks like everyone has a lot of love for Jeff Flake today, as noted here; which makes me recall this other moment involving Flake that needs to be in the proper context also as far as I’m concerned (video plays the contested recording - also this).



Update 10/25/17: And by the way, before we give Flake all of this credit, let’s keep this in mind; namely, that he trailed his primary (and Bannon-backed) challenger by double digits; somehow I don’t think Flake would have been so noble if the numbers had been more favorable.

Proving, once again, that knuckle draggers such as those pictured above are primarily responsible for the current sorry state of political affairs in this country (though there are other culpable parties to be sure).

…and with Flake and this tweet in mind, I give you another installment of “This Day In Doomsy History” from 10/24/14, in which we receive an instructive lesson on the true puppet masters for Sen. Mr. Elaine Chao…



…and Cenk and Ana tell us about another journalist attacked in Vlad Putin’s Russia – still touch and go as to whether or not she’ll make it, but hopefully she will of course…makes me recall this other Russia journo killed in the same month over 10 years ago…



…and I just feel like I need to hear this tune as a sanity check once in awhile.

…and Rachel Maddow speaks with MSNBC consultant and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade about Generalissimo Trump deciding to speak with three U.S. Attorneys who – and gosh, what a coincidence! – just happen to be from districts affecting the Gropenfuhrer’s businesses…



…and John Fugelsang has an idea for the Repugs: “Jesus in 2020” (yeah, like THAT would happen – I miss those “F-Bomb” videos of his)…


…and Sam Seder talks about not holding Former President Nutball to account…well said as far as I’m concerned (NSFW)…



…and I got a bit of a kick out of the rather cheeky nature of this video – nice song too.
