Gee, I wonder if the fourth graders in this story are going to give a crap about doing their civic duty when they get older because of these particularly stupid politicians (more on this, including still more idiocy from that assclown Warren Groen of New Hampshire, is here)...
..and kudos to the telecom outfit Vodafone for this, as Melissa Harris Perry explains...
...and yeah, this all seems pretty "cut and dried" to me too...
…and I don’t either, but I don’t think we have much of a choice (I think this kicks off another play list - isn't she in that movie?).

Friday Stuff
As far as I’m concerned, this is called “leadership” (on the part of Number 44, I mean)…
…and Jon Stewart asks a great question here, but he shouldn’t hold his breath waiting for an answer (truly a brilliant segment as far as I’m concerned – oh, and by the way, am I supposed to believe now that “hands up, don’t shoot” never happens? Because, for your information, I DON’T)…
...and bravo to Dem U.S. House Rep Keith Ellison for this – he also stood tall in the following video (more here)...
…and Cenk and Ana tells us about a Detroit-area pediatrician who refused to care for a little girl raised by lesbian parents – I think they paint with a bit too broad of a brush here about religion, but they’re absolutely right to decry those ridiculous “conscience” clauses observed by certain medical providers out there…
...and speaking of health care, Rev. Al gives us the most recent bloviations of Flush Limbore on the five-year anniversary of the ACA; a little late with this I know – yeah, Flush, go wave your hands in the air like you pretend to care (that you were wrong once again, that is)…
…and I neglected also to note the passing of Mike Porcaro of Toto – yes, a guilty pleasure I’ll admit, but I definitely liked a few of their songs, including this one.

Thursday Stuff
There was once a time when I dumped the grease traps and cleaned out the fry and shake vats and scraped the grill clean also for these corporate cretins, so I literally feel their pain also (once burned part of my hand on the grill, but fortunately I healed up OK; at least they didn't tell them to use the "secret sauce" – more here)…
...and I wonder if we’re starting to head into “torches and pitch forks” territory with this stuff (not condoning violence, I wish to emphasize – at least Nick Hanauer was honest enough to admit that he did stock “buy backs” too; I'm sure "Mickey D's" did the same thing as well, but I don't know for certain)…
…and Jon Stewart tells us about how the Repugs put the brakes on the human trafficking bill, something that used to NOT be controversial…always have to find a way to stick some anti-abortion stupidity into practically everything and gum up the works, with the Catholic Church metaphorically nodding in approval as always here…
...and I like this tune and the whole waterfall thing - I think this kicks off a play list.

Wednesday Stuff
By the way, for residents of our beloved commonwealth of PA, let’s not forget that this guy signed that horrible letter by “Tehran Tom” Cotton - more is here (along with this)…
…and speaking of Repug Party nonsense, Rev. Al gives us the latest on the holdup over voting on Loretta Lynch (as always, it’s JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! with the GOP – yeah, right)…
…and Rachel Maddow brings us the latest nonsense with “Senator Snowball” and a bill written by the American Chemistry Council (definitely a disappointing development with Tom Udall, I must say; make a note of this for anyone out there who says that I never take shots at Dems too)…
...and I'm glad to see that these guys are "getting after it" again - must say that I like this tune.

Tuesday Stuff
Awww, looks like Repug U.S. House Rep “No-Shirt-Check-Out-My-Six-Pack-Abs” is going to go down as just another self-entitled Republican who went too far – whatever will Lindsey Graham do now? (here)…
...and TYT has something on the blow-back on "Tehran Tom" Cotton, who, by the way, is getting funded by people who have a financial interest in his "toolery"...
...and John Oliver and Ed O'Bannon capture my sentiments on the NCAA pretty well here (nothing against most of the athletes who are only trying their best to make it in the pros - who can blame them? - but I definitely can't stand the "idiocracy" of the institution itself...I guess the "brackets" are out already)...
…and as great a day as this is, it’s still tinged in sadness a bit for your humble narrator for personal reasons – assuming I’m still doing this next year, I promise to put up something by The Dropkick Murphys to mark the occasion next time (and would you believe that this actually got 628 “dislikes” on YouTube? Haters gotta hate, I guess).

Monday Stuff
Rachel Maddow brings us the latest on the state of capital punishment in this country (didn’t we used to go to war against countries that did this sort of thing? U-S-A! U-S-A!)…
…and I thought this was an interesting little video on the denial industry in this country, which is big bidness to be sure…
…and I thought Bill Maher was spot on in this extremely NSFW commentary on some of the prodigies of the “one percent”…
…and kudos to Elton John for this – not going to tell you I believe every word of this song every moment, but I think it’s pretty sincere; consider it my response to all the REPENT! REPENT! stuff from yesterday, seeing as how it is Lent after all.
