Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya was murdered 10 years ago today (here) – which, it should be noted, is also the birthday of this sociopath (Coincidence? I think not.) – some of her killers were sentenced to life in prison, but the identity of the person(s) who put out the “hit” was never identified, which makes it even more obvious to yours truly who was really behind it…
…and I thought this was a particularly effective ad against “No Corporate Tax” Pat Toomey (R-Elevator); to help Katie McGinty send Toomey packing for good, click here…
...and I'm sure this will need to be pointed out all the way up to November 8th (yeah, we "heard it," you lying creep)...
…and K.O. brings us the Top 50 excuses from “Fergus Laing” (the most recent ones, that is – ugh)…
…and kudos to Chris Hayes for weighing in with all the outrage he is allowed to have from The Comcast Network over more “humor” traced to that guttersnipe Jesse Watters of Fix Noise here (this was even better)…
…and to me, the takeaway is all the times that HRC has met with the press compared to the times that “Donald Drumpf” hasn’t (interesting insight from Eric Boehlert on the former Roger Ailes BS Factory also IMHO)…
...and with the prior clip in mind, I should point out that Fix Noise started 20 years ago on 10/7 - I think this is a still-timely video...
Update 10/8/16: Uh, yep (see below).
…and Sunday marks what would have been the 76th birthday of this guy.
Update: Every time something horrific has occurred with Trump (almost too many times to mention), I thought to myself, “well, maybe we’ve reached the bottom with this guy at long last.”
After this, though, I don’t think Donald J. Trump actually has a concept of what “bottom” means (except, of course, pertaining to the female anatomy). And I’m not even going to call for him to apologize, since I know he doesn’t have a molecule of contrition in his entire wretched body.
And under no circumstances should he leave the presidential race. Make him stay in and get the electoral beating that he will completely and utterly deserve (and I’m starting to wonder now just how much down-ballot wreckage Trump will cause, though that is definitely secondary at this moment I’ll admit).
I may actually watch the debate on Sunday now. I think I would really enjoy watching Hillary Clinton tear this guttural mongrel to pieces.

Thursday Stuff
Sounds good to me (HRC & kids, as noted here)…
...and I would tend to agree with the title of this post (one response is to click here)...
(Hat tip to Kriston Capps and John Fugelsang on Twitter for the pic, which speaks volumes as far as I'm concerned)
...because, as Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich says, "complacency is not an option"...
...and Ed Schultz talks to Bernie Sanders about supporting HRC (kind of a pointless dig at the Dem nominee with that atypically brainless question from Ed at the end; kudos to Sanders for not taking the bait)...
…and in case you were wondering, the answer to the question is No – I hadn’t forgotten about “This Day In Doomsy History”; Keith Olbermann tells us about the “Occupy” movement in NYC from 10/6/11…
...and I think one of these guys has a birthday next month, but that doesn't mean we have to wait that long to hear this great tune (and nary a Trump vote between 'em, I'm sure :-).

Wednesday Stuff
I thought Tim Kaine was absolutely right to point out that it’s a pretty huge chasm of a difference between the two presidential tickets that one thinks that women basically are cattle when it comes to their reproductive health and the other doesn’t, but I honestly wish Kaine had pointed out what a vile, disgusting hypocrite Pence is for claiming to support all life but punishing poor women in Indiana the way he does with his childish tantrum of a fight against Planned Parenthood, something Pence would gladly inflict on the country as a whole if, God forbid, he had the chance (here…some will say Kaine won and some will say Pence won – who matters is the individual at the top of the ticket, somebody Pence is running away from with all speed; also, to be fair, I think the moderator should have prevented the two of them from talking over each other, especially Kaine...more here, here, and here)…
…and K.O. brings us the latest idiocy from “Fergus Laing,” which is every bit as dangerous as Olbermannn points out with all justifiable outrage…
…and Chris Hayes brought some of the reality perspective IMHO on the whole question of the Repugs in Congress blaming Obama for pretty much everything (I think Hakeem Jeffries is wrong, but kudos to him for defending his vote on JASTA – good observations from Robert Draper also)…
…and I thought Kyle K. made a great point here about Trump’s inadvertently stupid (but typical) answer to the scripted question he was asked about veterans and PTSD…
…and Thom Hartmann tells us to pay attention to the private debt vs. the public debt pertaining to the economy (arguing that private debt is a bigger drain, or at least Yves Smith of the Naked Capitalism blog is doing that, and I have no reason to disagree)…
...and 30 years ago today, it all hit the fan, as it were, for The Sainted Ronnie R and his pals, as noted here (more here - here is a song for the occasion).

Tuesday Stuff
Yeah, I would say we need to keep beating the proverbial drum to let people know how big a crook “Fergus Laing” really is (here)…
…and lather, rinse, repeat, of course (NSFW)…
…and I thought this was a well-done “New Rules” bit from Bill Maher about the life forms working for “Donald Drumpf” (ugh – NSFW again)…
…and this is just a reminder to vote for Steve Santarsiero, all you folk in PA-08; to help, click here (backgrounder is here)…
…and in non-election news, Kyle K. tells us that three of the Baltimore cops accused in the death of Freddie Gray were honored by the Media Research Center (NSFW once more – more on these cretins is here…MRC I mean)…
…and happy belated 67th birthday to Lindsey Buckingham.

Monday Stuff
I thought these two recent segments from Rachel Maddow were pretty good; the first tells us about Gerry Ford’s infamous debate gaffe about the Soviet Union not running things in Eastern Europe as he alleged in the debate with Jimmy Carter, and you definitely can argue that that had a lot to do with Ford losing….
…and the Ford segment sets up this piece on Trump needing those anti-Castro Cubans in FLA, even though – oopsie! – “The Donald” ended up doing business with Castro, which, among other things, happened to be completely illegal (the "mistress from hell" pic of HRC at about 3:45 is particularly adolescent, by the way)…
…and K.O. tells us how the presidential race is being handicapped by those who do such things for a living (illuminating as always as far as I’m concerned)…
...and I thought this was funny stuff from Bill Maher on "The Donald" (I got a kick out of "Unpopular Science" in particular…Steve Moore was as big a tool bag throughout the show as you would expect, by the way)…
..and aside from questioning millennial support at the end (something to consider in light of this I think), I thought that Gov. Howard Dean made some solid points about the media coverage in this campaign here - and I'm the last person in the world who will defend "Donald Drumpf," but Dean's coke remark really was inexcusable...
...and RIP Sir Neville Marriner (yes, I know, "culture" twice in a row - can we stand it? And an "autumnal" video too!).
