I thought this was an excellent analysis of President Big Orange Cheetoh’s typically surreal press conference yesterday; I give all of the reporters credit here including Shep Smith, who continues to stand tall, but here is MY question – what made ANY of you think any of this would be any different from how he presented himself on the campaign trail in ’15 and ’16? Did any of you SERIOUSLY think that he would pivot somehow to a sane, rational perspective, when the tiny-handed egomaniac plainly doesn’t know of such a thing?...
...and I give you yet another installment of "This Day In Doomsy History" from 2/17/15 (FBI Director James Comey gave an enlightened speech on race and law enforcement, timed a bit for Black History Month...as I watch this, I wonder if he wasn't just trolling us in the end given his despicable behavior last year timed for the presidential election, particularly timely in light of this also)...
…and K.O. is here to tells us about the effects of Generalissimo Trump’s deportation orders (“U-S-A! U-S-A!”)…
…and I would call this democracy in action (from yesterday)…
…and Thom Hartmann speaks with Eve Ensler about a new organization to end violence against women, as a spring board to other related protests (good call by Thom for saying that it isn't just Trump, and I'm not talking just against violence against women - the "party of Lincoln" dances to their corporatist masters exclusively and acts like "The Handmaid's Tale" is a documentary...might be a tad late with this, but there's no "expiration date" on the message)…
…and I have to admit that Republican lawmakers in Tennessee have come up with a novel way to respond to peaceful protestors; just run them down with your car (oh, but the Teahadists protesting against the Affordable Care law were good protesters, and they deserved to be covered 24/7/365 on CNN, but those damn tree-hugging hippies trying to make sure they don’t lose their health care, their jobs, their savings…just go commit vehicular homicide, and it’s all good - and this gives you insight into their coal black hearts also)…
…and gosh, could Fergus Laing actually be getting bored with his new job? We’ll see (“President Von Munchausen” – good one by Rick Wilson, I have to admit)…
…and nothing like a little Delbert McClinton to help put us in the mood for the holiday weekend, is there (a long one for everybody, I hope).
