Thank you, General Sanchez - I thought I would never see actual leadership from anyone on this war (I disagree with your assessment about staying there, as well as the notion that something like victory can be achieved by transcending partisan politics - way too later for that now - but you placed the blame for this catastrophe exactly where it belongs).Now, though you have a clear conscience, prepare to be ostracized for the rest of your life.

Good point - Sanchez is a highly imperfect messenger, and I probably should have taken some more time to note that; there's also stuff about his days under Bremer over in Iraq that I want to get into again, hopefully tomorrow. Also, his stuff about blaming the media and its agendas or whatever for the war is lame. It was just good to hear SOMEBODY point out the obvious in so many words.
