Wednesday Stuff
(I'll let Markos Moulitsas give his take on last night's historic results here.)
To begin, I give you an NBC 10 report on Bob Harvie’s win in the PA-01 U.S. House contest with Bri-Fi last night (I can't tell you what it means to say that at last)...Josh Shapiro was returned as PA guv also...Bob Brooks also defeated Ryan Mackenzie (another U.S. House win for the “D” team)...so awesome also that that turncoat Jeff Van Drew was sent packing in NJ as well...
...and David Shuster of Rebel HQ gives us more...kind of tells you how epic last night’s results were, so much so that Rupert The Pirate’s vanity rag couldn’t even spin them in a favorable light...great stuff in particular with returning Dem Georgia U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff and Senator-Elect Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, along with Senator-Elect Peggy Flanagan in Minnesota...and oh yeah, let’s blame Susie Wiles for everything last night (#facepalm)...and former Trumpette spokes-liar Karoline Leavitt blames dumb voters and the media – wingnut tears truly taste delicious...oh, and Spray Tan Satan actually thinks he WASN’T on the ballot?? Way too damn funny...I know Ossoff’s political instincts are pretty good and I’m sure his victory speech played pretty well overall, but it sounded a little too “middle of the road” for yours truly to be honest...I think we should put that clip of MAGA Mike Johnson saying he’ll be the speaker in the next Congress in a time capsule – more Republican entitlement on display...
...and Jesse Dollemore continues our coverage, you might say; looks like Cantaloupe Capone lost what’s left of his mind over last night’s results...yep, Greg Abbott is OUT in The Lone Star State; #47 sent out some tweet that was all sweetness and light, and then Don The Con turned on him when results started to go badly (and Bret Baier allows Mango Mussolini to tell another one of his lying “sir” stories because of course)...looks like one of the few blemishes I’ve found so far are assclown Alabama voters electing Tommy Tuberville governor, which isn’t a surprise I know, sadly...Pete Ricketts won in Nebraska, BTW...and I honestly don’t know what that orange dipsh*t is talking about when it comes to the World Trade Center – if he’s talking about 9/11, the Trump Party ended up taking over in the 2002 U.S. Congressional elections (Dennis Hastert became Majority Leader in the House and Bill Frist in the Senate)...also, #47’s approval within his own party is at about 74%, last I checked...Jesse is also completely spot-on to say this fight needs to continue, and it anything, get amped up even more... way beyond awesome that Bo-Bo Boebert may get politically kicked to the curb also...NSFW/H...
...and Thom Hartmann provides more proof that Our Sweaty Bronzer Boy was indeed on the ballot yesterday as already noted, despite his ravings to the contrary, and sitting at a 38 percent approval number...anybody who actually thinks the inhabitant in An Oval Office will work with Democrats must believe in candy cotton ponies and sugar plumb fairies also...of all the U.S. Senate races, aside from Michigan, I was also particularly concerned about New Hampshire, but nice work by Chris Pappas to pull off a win...
...and leave it to Mr. Newberger to give us a catchy tune for us all to dance to...
...and if you want to take or leave the inherently spiritual message of this song, I get it, but I still think it fits for this joyous occasion.
