To begin, Thom Hartmann speaks with Robert Greenwald of Brave New Films about How Billionaires Are Controlling All Of Our Media...apparently, Greenwald has a new production called “Murdering 60 Minutes,” which actually mimics the format of the show before it was trashed by Bari Weiss...Greenwald draws the line from the Ellisons (David in charge of CBS, and trying to acquire CNN) right to the IDF, which for my money is a terror organization in its own right...we learn that 12 state Attorneys General have filed suit to prevent Paramount/Skydance from taking over Warner Brothers, with a March court date coming up...sounds like the Ellisons over-leveraged themselves to try and make this awful acquisition, and yeah, that means that still more people will lose jobs to try and make up for that...and as Greenwald says, social media is by no means immune from the pressure of oligarchs who want only their message to get out...
...and Jesse Dollemore lets us know that Cantaloupe Capone and SecDef Kegseth intend to steal $$ from the NIH for the Iran War...yeah, who needs research into studying allergies and infectious diseases when it’s time to kill brown-skilled people on the other side of the world?...Rosa DeLauro is frequently the target of wingnut umbrage, mainly because she doesn’t take any sh*t, and she demonstrates that again here...good point that, given the obscene funding of the DoD, imagine what kind of mismanagement is going on that apparently the Trumpers think it’s necessary to steal dough from elsewhere in our government to wage yet another damn pre-emptive war launched by a Repug *preznit...
...and Logical Leftist Jeff Waldorf tells us about another judge blocking #47’s birthright citizenship order, the latest in a series of legal smackdowns on this issue...even the High Court of Hangin’ Judge JR said, “naaah...this violates the 14th Amendment of the Constitution,” so Combover Caligula ignored that and tried again, and Judge Deborah Boardman (judge for the U.S. District Court of Maryland) blocked it again, citing the SCOTUS ruling...leave it to this gaggle of idiots to come up with the term “birth tourism,” as if an expectant mother risks her life to come here to book a cruise on Royal Caribbean...as Waldorf says, it’s so far beyond pathetic that this wretched administration keeps wasting time and money on losing causes like this while ignoring the issues that matter most to the majority of this country...
...and Farron Cousins brings us some data to tell us that Gen Z voters are done with Trump...31 percent of those who supported him now regret it, with 28 percent of millennials feeling that way also, along with 20 percent of Gen X’ers and 10 percent of boomers, which is still way too low for that latter cohort IMO...also, 93 percent of Gen Z’ers (about 49 million) plan to vote in the election (you paying attention, Dems? You plan to give these folks a reason to support you??)...
...and heading “across the pond,” Jonathan Pie presents the latest on The Reform Witch Hunt, with Nigel Farage and “loose pub talk”...looks like Farage got a bare minimum of scrutiny and then started crying like a little bitch over what the UK “Reform” party is up to (more here) – sound familiar??...NSFW/H...
