Friday Stuff

“Now it begins” (Steve Cohen needs to fix his shirt collar, though I admit that that’s a minor point)…

…and while what Bill Maher is talking about here may not be impeachable by itself, then, well, let’s just say that, at an absolute minimum, it shows damn poor judgment (NSFW I think)…

…and I thought this was some great dot-connecting by John Oliver, though (as I think I mentioned earlier), there really isn’t much that’s new about “whataboutism” (NSFW also)…

…and Farron Cousins of Ring of Fire tells us about an accidental re-tweet from the Pentagon about Generalissimo Trump resigning (along with Roy Moore and Al Franken).

And by the way, I don’t like what Franken did either (here), but here’s the thing; he got out front with an apology almost right away. And to me, that counts for something (along with this from Franken's accuser). Besides, let’s have the ethics investigation go forward – which Franken has encouraged – and if it turns out that he needs to resign (which would be awful since he’s spot-on for so many other issues, but there you are), then he can do it AFTER the investigation has completed.

And for anybody who sez “What a typical libtard! Double standard!,” then I’ll just say this; the person taking up space in An Oval Office is guilty of a hell of a lot worse than Franken has apologized for, and he plainly isn’t going to go anywhere unless he’s forced to. And I for one am fed up with this supposed unwritten Beltway courtier media “rule” that the Repugs can get away with whatever they want but, if a Dem is at least accused of the same or a comparable offense, then they MUST fall on their proverbial sword every time...

…and the interesting part of this report on the utterly lurid exploits of former Repug Sen. Bob Packwood (insert your own scatological reference here) is who led the calls for Packwood’s ouster, as Rachel Maddow tells us; would that “the sins of the flesh” had been Sen. Mr. Elaine Chao’s failing as opposed to his servile compliance to the whims of the “one percent”…

…and with that in mind, don’t think I’ve forgotten about yesterday’s atrocity – far from it (to do something about it, click here...more here)…

…and Ana, Michael Shure and Mark Thompson tell us about the Texas sheriff who went after the woman with the “F-Trump…” sign on her truck (and way to not back down, ma’am)…

…and I don’t know how many more tunes from 1967 I’m going to be able to get in, so I’d better not forget this one.

Thursday Stuff

You just knew they were going to find a way to do it, didn’t you? And yeah, I think this says it.

And they had help from this guy, as noted here...

...which makes me recall this video...

You’re a thoroughly disgusting weasel, Bri-Fi!

You voted today to take money out of my pocket.

We need that deduction for state and local taxes when we file every year.

You and your utterly-beyond-a-joke of a political party is apparently SO DESPERATE for ANY LEGISLATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENT WHATSOEVER that you can use to completely suck up to your one percent base for re-election campaign funds that you have no issue whatsoever with throwing the Doomsy household under the metaphorical bus.

I can assure you that I will do all that is legally within my power to see that you do not serve another term in the U.S. House.

...and that supposedly "Christian" man Paul Ryan is as big of a fucking liar as the Gropenfuhrer is (Chris Hayes talks with Robert Reich)...

…and Ana Kasparian, Michael Shure, and Mark Thompson weigh in here…

…and yeah, I think this great cover is an appropriate selection.

Wednesday Stuff

Hey, did you hear the one about how the KGB is going to provide “security” for our U.S. Embassy in Moscow? I have to admit, though, that the “Eddie Bauer Rock Climber” solution was pretty innovative (I’m tempted to read Ronald Kessler’s book now after this report).

And yeah, I think “previously unthinkable submission” pretty much sums it up also…

…and this is some truly outstanding journalism by Shep Smith of Fix Noise (earning the predictable outcry here…for the longest time in this country, I thought there was nothing worse than hatred of Ted Kennedy, but I now know that there is truly NOTHING more rabid and insane – and I think that’s an accurate way to put it – than hatred of ANYTHING having to do with the Clintons)…

…and kudos to Jeremy Scahill for this – he doesn’t let the Dems off the proverbial hook either, nor should he as far as I’m concerned (I'll get to John Oliver's video later, by the way...and Scahill is right that "whataboutism" definitely isn't new)…

..and Stephanie Ruhle tells us all about the Repugs’ latest tax scam, and now with ANOTHER OBAMACARE REPEAL added (with Steve Schmidt, Ben White and Kate Kelly – to stand up and call your senator or congressperson on Capitol Hill to protest, call 855-999-1663)…

…and did you know that there are 95.3 million people out of the workforce under the Gropenfuhrer, though I admit that that’s a bit deceptive (more telling to me is what is happening to tourism); I thought this was a pretty good analysis from David Pakman…

…and given the opening segment and this 60-year-old item, I had this tune in mind, so here it is.

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Tuesday Stuff

I suppose I’m a little behind on the news cycle concerning the completely awful Judge Roy Moore, but I still thought this was a well done, NSFW segment by Hasan Piker of TYT (and as we know, as far as the Repugs are concerned, “tax cuts are their Jesus” as actor Bradley Whitford once said..and isn't THIS interesting)…

…and I also thought this was interesting from Rachel Maddow, given that, apparently, what was once referred to as the “party of Lincoln” is still setting up an organization to support this craven lunatic (Moore I mean, as opposed to Generalissimo Trump)…

…and Chris Hayes speaks with reporter Julia Ioffe of The Atlantic about Uday Trump’s conniving with Wikileaks – the question at this point is no longer whether or not Junior lied and collaborated with a foreign power to influence last year’s election, but how long his prison sentence should be…

…and I also thought these were some cautionary words about the most recent election from Michael Moore and Bill Maher (and Tweety too…I think Maher was going to lead into a point about winning back college-age voters, which I would imagine is a good point even though I don’t have data on that)…

…and yeah, I wonder if, one day, that supposedly God-fearing man Paul Ryan, Mr.-Puppy-Dog-Eyes-With-The-Shiv, is going to tell one too many lies and turn into a pillar of salt…

…and I ask you, when was the last time you saw a music video with go carts (or mini-tractors)? And I like the tune too (a little spooked by the guy around the camp fire at the end, though).

Monday Stuff

(Once more, to help out Doug Jones, click here.)

I know I have to keep reminding myself that we live in “Kardashian America,” where name recognition and physical attributes are often all that matter as opposed to, y’know, actually being good at something; I kept reminding myself of that while I wondered exactly why anyone would take Tomi Lahren seriously (NSFW - don't agree that prayers do nothing, but we need to do everything we can first - didn't know about the Ana Kasparian thing; not surprising…and again, I believe that the wingnuts are entitled to their entirely wrong-headed opinions; unlike them, I'll never say that opposing points of view should be silenced)...

…and it looks like the Filipinos hate #45 as much as we do (no idea if any of these images aired on our corporate media, but my guess is that they didn’t – must maintain the voice of kleptocracy at all times I know)…

…and count these as more voices in favor of medical pot…

…and if you want to change things for the better, I give you three words: run for something (I think I aired this before, and I may do it again)…

…and it also looks like the Gropenfuhrer nominated (and the Repugs in Congress confirmed on a party-line vote) Brett Talley, who, aside from being a typical Trumpster zealot, has apparently never even tried a case and has been rated as unqualified for the job…as I said earlier, welcome to Kardashian America (where all you need to be is an ass?? Sorry if that's too harsh)

…and like it or not, here comes another installment of “This Day In Doomsy History,” and this time it’s a musical selection from 11/13/07…yeah, we know about our Treasonous Tiny Handed Dictatorial Egomaniac’s “bromance” with our former ol’ buddy Vlad Putin, but let’s not forget the two other world leaders from an earlier time who fit that category too (smile).

Friday Stuff

We knew that Roy “Not Generally, No” Moore was a crazed gun nut masquerading as a “values” conservative, but apparently, he’s also (in all likelihood) guilty of sexual misconduct (other Moore-related garbage is here, here, here, and here – and to do something about it, click here)…

…and I’m really glad to hear this report from Rachel Maddow about the Gropenfuhrer’s gutting of the State Department – this is a much bigger deal than our corporate media is acknowledging, which I’m sure isn’t surprising in any way (and of course, we know that Number 45 has no core convictions whatsoever except as pertains to his own pocketbook…and yeah “gutlessness” is the right word)…

…and wow, it only took the Trumpsters a year to realize that they were played (and 91 percent of voters for President Fergus Laing would do the same thing? That’s an awful lot of “libtard” hatred…but yeah, it’s still out there and probably will be for awhile - actually, the numbers presented by K.O. lead me to believe that last year’s entire damn election was nothing but a “black op” carried out to tragically infamous perfection)…

…and yeah, it looks like blue states would get screwed by the tax cut proposals of the Repugs and President Tiny Handed Treasonous Egomaniac…

...also, watch this clip and then ask why our children and grandchildren shouldn't damn us for all eternity for allowing travesties like this to take place - somewhat funny until you realize how utterly stupid and pathetic it is given the enormous consequences ("I view this report as the product of the previous administration"...typical Trumpster; when in doubt, blame Obama)...

…and Seth Meyers reminds us about Dem electoral wins earlier in the week (and kudos to Phil Murphy, but I also think he needs to work on his celebration routine a bit)…

…and let’s not forget about the most recent mass shooting – fortunately, Sam Bee didn’t (also praising Dem wins particularly in VA here…have to say , though, that I think “balls for Paul Ryan,” would REALLY be a miracle)…

…and I know I put up this song for Veterans Day last year, but I think an encore is called for, so here it is.

Thursday, November 09, 2017

Thursday Stuff

Nice work here by Hasan Piker of TYT shooting holes, if you will, into the arguments against common sense gun reforms by the pro-gun zealots (NSFW)…

…and in a related story, as they say, Massachusetts is the first state (i.e., commonwealth) to ban so-called “bump stocks,” as noted in the clip…

…and “what a difference a year makes” indeed…

...and Mike Lux tells us about the Koch Bros. tax plan (familiar territory I know, but it bears repeating - here)…

…and yeah, it’s true that women won big in last Tuesday’s elections – and the problem is?...

…and Lake Street Dive and Rachel Price bring just a little bit of “sass” to this number.

Wednesday, November 08, 2017

Wednesday Stuff

Yeah, I’d say last night was a good night – more than a little bit of corporate media spin in this report, though, as far as I’m concerned, particularly at the end where the reporter, in true “rip n’ read” fashion, communicates the Gropenfuhrer’s claim about “getting killed” on the tax bill without doing some actual – y’know – reporting and analysis – too boring to do dumb stuff like that I guess…

…and it looks like somebody else Generalissimo Trump is trying to distance himself from, Felix Sater by name, is a little cozier with Number 45 that we were led to believe…not that surprising I guess, but important to note…

…and we are now the only country holding out of the Paris climate accords (mildly NSFW from Jeff Waldorf…important to note, by the way, that the few coal jobs that are left are at least partially automated at this point)...

…and nice work here by Dem U.S. House Rep John Barry Larson in response to that fraud of a tax bill from the Repugs…

…and speaking of the "one percent," Stephen Colbert has a bit of fun here with the “Paradise Papers,” though I’m sure there’s plenty here that isn’t amusing in any way…I’m sure there will be much more on this…

…and overshadowed a bit in these parts yesterday by the tragic death of former Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay was the passing of a local area icon (for me, anyway), and that would be Rod Carson, former traffic reporter, weather guy, disk jockey, and pretty much everything else I would guess in radio – I wish I could tell you all of the times I listened to his “Rock n’ Roll Roots” show on WMMR on Saturday mornings, which just about always began with this theme (again, the memory is a little hazy here I’ll admit).

Tuesday, November 07, 2017

Tuesday Stuff

Sorry, but this utterly crushing news for yours truly, among many others, “Trumps” politics, if you’ll excuse the expression (I was going to put up a pic that said, “Democrats who stay home on Election Day elect Republicans,” but as far as I’m concerned, if that message isn’t absorbed by now, it never will be)…

…and while I applaud the woman who did this, I’m not totally sure that advertising it on social media was the best thing to do, particularly since her employer was apparently a government contractor; probably would have been found out anyway though…but we still do have free speech in this country and all that…

…and the metaphorical noose grows ever tighter around Generalissimo Trump…

…and given the tragic news about “Doc,” I can think of only this tune among others.

Monday, November 06, 2017

Monday Stuff

Uh, yep…

…and Kyle K. opines on the Sutherland Springs shooting (and gee, doesn’t Samantha Bee, among others, look particularly prescient now in claiming that there’s a link between this insanity and domestic abuse? And great dot-connecting here by Kyle K. on the Repugs trying to gut Medicare/Medicaid and the impact on treatment for mental illness…NSFW)…

…oh, and by the way, there are three two special elections tomorrow – to help Phil Murphy in NJ, click here

…and to help Ralph Northam in VA against the utterly scurrilous Ed Gillespie, click here

…and to help Doug Jones against the deranged Roy Moore in AL, click here

Update 11/8/17: OK, I goofed on Doug Jones and Roy Moore – the special election in that contest is on December 12th; doesn’t mean it’s too early to help Jones, though.

Update 11/9/17: Oh yeah, there will be A LOT more to come on this I'm sure.

...and with the most recent gun carnage fresh in our minds, I believe this is an appropriate tune.

Friday, November 03, 2017

Friday Stuff

Oh yeah, doesn’t Preznit Tiny Handed Treasonous Egomaniac have a “great memory”? Sure he does...

…and as Kyle K. tells us, it looks like the Trumpsters, Rex Tillerson in particular, are trying to get a PERMANENT AUMF – just charming; anyone for GWB 2.0 on steroids this time??!! And NSFW of course...

…and I don’t believe I’ve said a lot between the utterly deranged and totally false comments from former Gen. John Kelly about Dem Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, but fortunately, Dem U.S. House Rep Ruben Gallego does so here – Kelly’s horrific personal loss, while generating sympathy, doesn’t justify his conduct in any way; referring to Wilson as an “empty barrel,” which is a disgusting remark, is his opinion I realize, but he’s demonstrably false in his characterization of what happened at the ceremony in question as borne out plainly by the video…

…and sorry, but I’m not giving the “Foxies” a shred of sympathy over their alleged “news” network and its almost total silence on the Paul Manafort, etc. story recently – I’m with Cenk, even though the so-called “Uranium One” thing allegedly involving HRC was bogus now, then and always…

…and I thought this was a well-done analysis from TYT’s Hasan Piker on the recent terror attack in NYC (NSFW as well)…

…and maybe Sam Bee is painting with a bit of a “broad” brush (if you’ll forgive the expression) when it comes to men and guns, but the statistics don’t lie, so I think she’s justified – it’s waay past time to connect as many possible dots, as it were, on this issue as possible (NSFW also)…

…and speaking of tragic gun deaths, Lawrence O’Donnell tells us how LBJ reacted in a very statesman-like and thoroughly un-Trumpian way after Sirhan Sirhan killed RFK, to say nothing of Ted Kennedy calling for the life of his brother’s assassin to be spared (Chis Hayes also echoed similar sentiments, saying that Generalissimo Trump ought to keep his damn mouth shut in the wake of the NYC terror attack so as to not help the case of the allegedly murderous defendant – good luck with that, I know…also, I should probably catch up with the video of O’Donnell talking with Chris Matthews about the latter’s book – yeah, Tweety is too much of a Beltway media sycophant at times, but he’s also an accomplished author, believe it or not…)…

…and happy belated 70th birthday to Dave Pegg, with Jethro Tull for a time as well as Fairport Convention.

Thursday Stuff

(I guess this sign is a metaphor of sorts, except for people flooded out from the hurricanes where it represents reality, unfortunately.

And speaking of cities that have suffered misfortune, congratulations to the world champion Houston Astros of baseball, including former Phil Ken Giles. I personally was rooting for the Dodgers, to be honest, but that’s OK – happy for Houston all the same. It was still a much-needed shot in the arm for a city flat on its metaphorical back, which is good.)

And on the subject of being flat on your back, literally, I give you this item about the reporter who was tripped to the ground and face planted because…well, he apparently violated a swearing ordinance in Virginia in the presence of a Republican, or something – another chapter of the book “Life in These United States Under Generalissimo Trump,” or something…

…and I know it’s telling that K.O. is quoting Republican politicos like Ed Rollins and their unofficial spokespeople like “BoBos” Brooks, but I have a feeling that the emerging narrative from congressional Repugs trying to hold onto their stinking jobs next year will be “Hey, it wasn’t MY fault. I did everything President Big Orange Cheetoh TOLD me to do, Chucky and Davey Koch! I didn’t think he was actually nuts. Now can I please have a million dollars?”…

…and fortunately, Rachel Maddow makes sure we keep our eye on the proverbial ball, as it were, when it comes to the Gropenfuhrer and his Russian handlers (yeah, I would say that it’s time to pretty much etch some of this stuff in stone too...and Dem U.S. House Rep Adam Schiff continues to stand tall, earning the perpetual ire of the wingnuts of course)…

…and Donald Drumpf Jr. is referred to in the Maddow report, and apparently he was up to some antics over the recent holiday; fortunately, Stephen Colbert gives him a sweet comeuppance, you might say (to paraphrase the poet, liquor may be quicker, but candy is dandy this time around)...

…and to me, this is one hell of a dynamic duo, you might say (Holy Justice For the 99 Percent, Batman! – yeah, I admit that was a bit of a stretch even for me)…

…and the line “We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for” is right out of an Obama campaign ad I know, but that doesn’t make it any less true as far as I’m concerned.

Wednesday, November 01, 2017

Wednesday Stuff

TYT reports on the coward in NYC who plowed into the crowd with his car (glad Cenk mentioned the situation in Myanmar with the slaughter of the Rohingya, which I haven’t touched on, while former human rights champion Aung San Suu Kyi apparently looks on and does nothing…good job here to give the total picture concerning all of our interventions around the world and how that could be a factor I believe)…

…and Rachel Maddow provides some context here also (I think the line about the most ISIS fighters possibly coming from the former Soviet republics based on what they know, noted by the New York Times reporter, is very interesting)…

(Didn’t mention this earlier, but condolences and sympathies to the victims of course and their families – now let’s try this animal in this country as opposed to GITMO, for God’s sake, and if convicted, either lock him up for life or set up a date with a needle.)

…and here is the ad that has made wingnut heads explode all over the place; I‘m sure this is no surprise, but I agree with every damn word of it…

…and with that in mind, K.O. gives us the latest here…

…and David Pakman tells us about the latest approval ratings for Generalissimo Trump…

…and with the news of the recent attacks in NYC, I thought this was an appropriate tune.

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Tuesday Stuff

Yeah, it looks like tonight is a night for all the kooks, creeps, and goblins all right – and if you think I was referring to the Trumpsters, then you win a free sack of year-old Kit Kat bars (though I think Keith has his holidays mixed up a little here)…

…and once again, think about how fast a DEMOCRAT would have been removed from office, tried, convicted, and sentenced to hard labor by now if that person had pulled any of this garbage…oh, sorry, “allegedly” pulled this garbage…

…and leave it to Stephen Colbert to remind us just how desperately the Foxies want to play their game of “Oh, LOOK OVER THERE INSTEAD!” (here)…

…and Thom Hartmann talks to Dr. Karen Seal Stewart of the group Patriotic Millionaires in opposition to the Gropenfuhrer's latest tax cut proposal...

…and this may be a first, not just for the holiday but overall; I now give you a double dose of “This Day In Doomsy History”…first is from 10/31/08, in which I present more delusional musings from the one-time base for Sen. John McCain and Caribou Barbie, who, I’m quite sure (though I have no proof) would end up being just solid for Generalissimo Trump…

…and the second is from 11/2/07, in which kids tell our politicians what they can do about being used for photo-ops if their health care funding isn’t renewed, which, sadly, is currently a “thing” also now, as noted here - more here...and by the way, while our corporate media is trying to spit-shine the thoroughly sullied reputation of Former President Highest Disapproval Rating In Gallup Poll History, let’s not forget that he vetoed SCHIP funding, as noted here)…

…and speaking of kids, Happy Halloween, everybody.

Monday, October 30, 2017

Monday Stuff

And it looks like the dominoes have started to fall for real (here)…

…and K.O. reminds us once more how the Gropenfuhrer uses (abuses?) Twitter (though I think calling #45 the “FDR” of ANYTHING is more than a bit much…I get Keith's point, though)…

…and Rachel Maddow tells us about what is apparently the surprise resignation of U.S. Attorney Dana Boente – maybe not the biggest news story at the moment, but then again, based on the Mueller probe – well, we’ll see, won’t we…

…and I think this video is particularly timely given this story (kudos to the Houston Texans for standing up – or “kneeling” up, I guess – to their stupid owner)…

…and I know I touched on this already, but I’m going to do so again; Farron Cousins comments on that utterly disgusting budget passed by the U.S. House last Thursday (and, as noted previously, “Bri-Fi,” who has problems on other issues, commendably voted No as one of the 20 Repugs who opposed this atrocity...oh, and by the way, it's true that they should do this anyway, but how about some props to the Dem caucus for remaining in total opposition?)…

…”and I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free”…and yes, that definitely is snark (oh, and with that tune in mind, I give you this)…

…and yeah, I always wait until the end of the month for this tune with about one day to spare, and I’m doing it again here.

Friday, October 27, 2017

Friday Stuff

Kudos to Cenk Uygur and TYT Investigates for telling us whether or not tax cuts created jobs for UPS and FedEx…I think you know the answer (Stephen Moore is a thoroughly irredeemable cretin)…

…and as Rachel Maddow explains, the Trumpsters really can’t get much of anything right (well, at least not something presented in the cold light of day - and yeah, the JFK stuff was particularly creepy)…

…and Generalissimo Trump “loves veterans,” huh?...

…and with the prior clip in mind, David Pakman tells us about Fix Noise interviewing an alleged Navy SEAL supporting Trump (a vet apparently, but not what he claims to be – at least he owed up to it)…

…and nice work by Dem U.S. Senator Chris Murphy here (re, our role in the history of Puerto Rico)…

…and maybe I’d better start getting into some Halloween selections – this 1967 tune “dropped” in October of that year, appropriately enough.

Thursday, October 26, 2017

Thursday Stuff

I offer the following with as little explanation as possible – gut-churning enough as it is (and I guess part of the “winning” is to pass a tax bill that totally screws over the middle class by removing state and local tax deductions, as noted here – not my habit to link to The Daily Tucker, but as noted here, “Bri-Fi” commendably voted No…whichever Dem runs against him next year, assuming Fitzpatrick survives a likely primary challenge, will have a tough time…

…and I guess part of the “winning” is to go after U.S. Senators of your own partyoh, OK (misspelled “Tennessee” of course…”America is moving forward just like Thelma and Louise”…scary that it’s so true)...

…and ah, smell the freedom – oh, but Sen. Elizabeth Warren is a “Corporate Dem,” according to that idiot Jimmy Dore…

…oh, and speaking of which, kudos to Sam Seder for this – very NSFW, but totally deserved…I can’t quite figure out if the caller is just a concern troll or is actually in earnest here…

…and now, for a bit of news that’s actually good amidst all of the insanity – kudos to Elon Musk and Tesla for this…

…and last night, as a tribute to Fats Domino, I featured his cover of a tune by other artists (in this case, The Beatles) – I think it’s a good idea to include the following cover of a Fats Domino tune as a bit of a response.

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Wednesday Stuff

Oh yes, please tell me once again how supposedly principled Jeff Flake, Bob Corker and John McCain are – they voted to strike down the rule that lets us sue banks and credit card companies, invalidating arbitration in essence (the vote was 51-50, with Huckleberry Graham and John N. Kennedy of Louisiana joining all of the Senate Dems in opposition, and that ghoul Mike Pence was summoned to cast the vote to kill the rule)…

…and call me crazy, but when you pay somebody (or bodies) about $430 grand to “lawyer up,” I think there’s a “there” there, you might say, right comrade? And videos exist, apparently? Ugh...

…and Seth Meyers tells us more on Robert and Rebekah Mercer, two of the crazed members of the “one percent” bankrolling Meth Lab Bannon and the Gropenfuhrer (more here)…

…and I know that, with all of the other outrages going on, we shouldn’t lose sight of the issue of common sense gun reforms, which will be blocked by numbskulls like this guy in Georgia…

…and yeah, the “Trumpsters” really do want to kill us, people...

...but look over there! HILLZ BENGHAZI EMAILS HILLZ BENGHAZI EMAILS HILLZ BENGHAZI EMAILS!!! (NSFW)...

…and RIP to the legendary Antoine “Fats” Domino; one of my all-time favorite covers.

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Tuesday Stuff

I think the predecessor to the wretched life form currently taking up space in An Oval Office gave us a pretty good example of what kind of a tribute should be paid to our courageous service people who have paid the ultimate price (to say nothing of what their families and friends are enduring, as noted here – the toon above came from the Times of London today I believe)…

…and with all of the infamy from our ruling cabal in mind concerning the deaths of our Marines in Niger, I would say that all of K.O.’s outrage aimed at Generalissimo Trump, former Gen. John Kelly and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, among others, is totally deserved, and then some (mildly NSFW)…

…and it looks like everyone has a lot of love for Jeff Flake today, as noted here; which makes me recall this other moment involving Flake that needs to be in the proper context also as far as I’m concerned (video plays the contested recording - also this).

Update 10/25/17: And by the way, before we give Flake all of this credit, let’s keep this in mind; namely, that he trailed his primary (and Bannon-backed) challenger by double digits; somehow I don’t think Flake would have been so noble if the numbers had been more favorable.

Proving, once again, that knuckle draggers such as those pictured above are primarily responsible for the current sorry state of political affairs in this country (though there are other culpable parties to be sure).

…and with Flake and this tweet in mind, I give you another installment of “This Day In Doomsy History” from 10/24/14, in which we receive an instructive lesson on the true puppet masters for Sen. Mr. Elaine Chao…

…and Cenk and Ana tell us about another journalist attacked in Vlad Putin’s Russia – still touch and go as to whether or not she’ll make it, but hopefully she will of course…makes me recall this other Russia journo killed in the same month over 10 years ago…

…and I just feel like I need to hear this tune as a sanity check once in awhile.

Monday, October 23, 2017

Monday Stuff

Yeah, I would call that a bit of a telltale remark from Paul Manafort after our Tiny Handed Chief Executive lost the Iowa caucuses last year…

..and yeah, I would also say that this is typical for a sociopathic liar like our Impulse Control Issue, Treasonous Head of State…

…and Rachel Maddow speaks with MSNBC consultant and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade about Generalissimo Trump deciding to speak with three U.S. Attorneys who – and gosh, what a coincidence!just happen to be from districts affecting the Gropenfuhrer’s businesses…

…and John Fugelsang has an idea for the Repugs: “Jesus in 2020” (yeah, like THAT would happen – I miss those “F-Bomb” videos of his)…

…and Sam Seder talks about not holding Former President Nutball to account…well said as far as I’m concerned (NSFW)…

…and I got a bit of a kick out of the rather cheeky nature of this video – nice song too.
